Hi, I’m Shauna — a full-time, vetted dog sitter based in Abbeyknockmoy, Co. Galway, and owner of House of Paws.

I have been running my dog-sitting business full-time for the past four years and I am certified in Canine First Aid & CPR. I provide a safe, reliable, and caring home-from-home environment for every dog in my care.

My experience with dogs began from a young age, having grown up with a variety of breeds including Siberian Huskies, Westies, Samoyeds, and Labradors. I also spent many years competing in IKC and agricultural dog shows throughout Ireland, which provided me with extensive hands-on experience handling dogs of different breeds, sizes, and temperaments.

I am the proud owner of Zeus, my four-year-old Golden Retriever, who is at the heart of everything I do.

I know how nerve-wracking it is to leave your dog with someone new, and I strive to be someone you can fully trust and rely on. Over the years, I have learned so much from each dog that has stayed with me — from their unique personalities and quirks to their individual needs and preferences. I place great importance on safety, trust, and maintaining a calm, positive environment where every dog feels secure and happy.

I understand that not all dogs thrive in a kennel/busy daycare setting, which is why I offer very limited daycare spaces per day in a home-from-home environment, there will be no more than 3 dogs present at once (including Zeus).

Your dog's day with me includes walks, play, and enrichment, ensuring they stay relaxed, stimulated, and content.

As part of my service, I provide daily updates with photos so you can see how your dog is getting on and have peace of mind while you're away.

Booking Requirements:

Dogs must be fully vaccinated (incl. kennel cough), wormed, and flea & tick treated. Proof of vaccination card will be required before check-in.

Dogs must be fully house-trained.

Dogs must be well-socialised, comfortable with people & other dogs. Dogs displaying any form of aggression or dominance will not be tolerated.

Daycare collection time at the latest of 5:30/6pm. Late pickup can be arranged prior with an additional fee occurring.

Please include when booking:

Dog's name, breed, age, gender & neuter status

Medical history & any medication if applicable.

Any allergies.

Behaviour (food aggression, resource guarding, recall, triggers) if applicable.

Social behaviour (people, children, dogs)
