My name is Shauna, and I am a full-time, vetted dog sitter based in Abbeyknockmoy, Co. Galway. I’m the proud owner of House of Paws 🐾 my dedicated dog-sitting business, which I have been running full-time for the past four years.

I have a four-year-old Golden Retriever named Zeus, who is my pride and joy. He’s full of life and loves to play.

I know how nerve-wracking it is to leave your dog with someone new, and I strive to be someone you can fully trust and rely on. Over the years, I have learned so much from each dog that has stayed with me — from their unique personalities and quirks to their individual needs and preferences. I place great importance on safety, trust, and maintaining a calm, positive environment where every dog feels secure and happy.

I understand that not all dogs thrive in a kennel setting, which is why I offer very limited daycare and boarding spaces per day in a home-from-home environment. Visiting dogs stay inside our family home, ensuring a relaxed and comfortable experience.

Your dog’s day with me includes walks, play, and enrichment, ensuring they stay relaxed, stimulated, and content.

As part of my service, I provide daily updates with photos so you can see how your dog is getting on and have peace of mind while you’re away.

Booking Information & Requirements:

All dogs who require a booking must have up-to-date vaccinations (including kennel cough). Proof of these vaccines must be shown prior to or on the day of check-in.

Your dog must be regularly wormed, free from fleas and ticks, and *house-trained* (*understandable if a young puppy*).

All dogs must be well-socialised and enjoy the company of other dogs and people.

My dog boarding rates are for 24 hours. If you plan to collect your dog later than the drop-off time, a late collection fee will apply.

When requesting a booking please include some of the following:

Name, breed, age, male/female

Neutered/spayed?

Microchipped & vaccinated?

Any current/past medical condition/issues?

Please advise if your dog is on any medication & include dosage instructions.

Allergies (food, environment, products)

Meal times and portion sizes?

Specific food brands or diet?

Treats allowed / not allowed?

Food aggression or resource guarding?

Friendly with strangers, kids, other dogs?

Any fears or triggers (e.g. loud noises, storms)

Does your dog have a recall? Can they be let off the leash?

Possessive with toys or food?

Usual walk times & length

Toilet routine (how often, signs they need to go)

Where they usually sleep.
