We had Aisling cat sit for us this week and have to say we were really happy with the service she provided. Aisling was so friendly and understanding of our fur babies needs. She also provided us with regular photo updates as our daughter was very anxious being away from her pets. This was great as she was upset the 2nd night away from them. One of our cats is a very anxious house cat and never ventures outside so it was great to able to leave her in her own environment to be cared for by Aisling. She did daily check ins with them provided fresh food water, emptying of cat litter and more importantly cuddles. I highly recommend Aisling as a pet sitter. Suzanne (Jack & Alex)

Carolyn is an absolutely fantastic dog sitter. From the first day we met she was polite, professional and so friendly. Most of all she was an instant hit with our dog Rocky. She was thorough with getting to know all of Rocky’s requirements and it was clear she had plenty of experience and knowledge in this area. It was such a huge relief to know that Carolyn would be with him when we were at work. She goes above and beyond her required duties and is even doing some training with Rocky during their time together. We love receiving her updates of how Rocky’s day is going and all the fun they have had together. Overall I would not hesitate to recommend Carolyn to anyone looking for a friendly, experienced and trustworthy pet sitter.

Frequently asked questions

Your pet sitting questions answered

What does pet sitting include?

When you book our pet sitting services, an experienced pet sitter will visit your home and spend some one-on-one time with your pet.

Who will be caring for my pet during the pet sitting booking?

Pawshake only accepts pet and dog sitters who have experience and/or qualifications caring for pets. You can search, choose and have a free meet and greet with your pet sitter or dog minder prior to making a booking.

Is pet sitting the right option for my pet?

Pet sitting is the perfect option for pets who prefer staying in their own home environment and would like some company during the day. This means your pet gets to enjoy high quality and personalised care that is better than pet hotels.

What is the difference between pet sitting and pet hotels?

Pet sitting is a personalised service where a pet sitter visits your home and spends one on one time with your pet. Pet hotels can be stressful and usually involve your pet sharing their space with other pets and interacting with different staff members each time.
