Hi! My name is Alex Dill and I am a recent architecture masters graduate from Cape Town, South Africa. I am 25-years-old and have been working as a graduate architect in Dublin since July 2023.

I moved to Ireland after living in the Netherlands for 6 months looking to find somewhere where I feel more at home in the culture, however, a piece of home that will always be missing is my two sweet dogs that are back home in South Africa with my family. Living in the Netherlands, I found Pawshake and thought pet sitting would be the perfect remedy for a big chunk of my home sickness. So I signed up and did dog walking and pet sitting on the side for the majority of my time there, forming relationships with lovely people and their beloved pets and I would love to continue doing that here! I have had extensive experience with all types of animals and pets, having had dogs and cats throughout my life in South Africa and gained a lot of experience in pet sitting in the Netherlands, taking care of and walking dogs and providing company to pets who's owners were away on holiday and I can say that the time I spent with these lovely animals are some of my fondest memories living in the Netherlands and I would so love to care for your pets and hopefully make a plethora of furry friends during my time in Ireland! I live in a house where I am able to take dogs in - we have an enclosed and secure small garden where dogs would be able to go outside when needed. My friend who I live with and I work at different times of the day and therefore there will always be someone home to supervise them. I hope you'll let us welcome your lovely little friends into our warm and loving home!
