Hi my name is Rebecca and I would love to be your pets next best friend!

As a lifelong animal lover with a deep commitment to their well-being, I don't just see pet sitting as a job, but as a passion that I truly enjoy. Growing up on a small farm, I’ve always been surrounded by different animals, but a special place in my heart has always belonged to dogs. Currently, I share my family home with our beloved Labrador, who is a cherished member of our family.

I am currently studying for a career in healthcare/ emergency services which has instilled in me an empathic and caring nature. I understand the importance of ensuring that pets feel safe, loved, and cared for in their owner's absence. Additionally, my experience volunteering with our local first responders has shown my dedicated and reliable personality.

I have successfully cared for family friends’ pets on numerous occasions, including staying in their homes to provide consistent and loving care for dogs, cats, and even hamsters! I assure you that your furry friend will receive the utmost attention and affection while in my care.

Unfortunately our dog does not get on extremely well with new dogs, so I don't offer overnight stays in our house. However, I would be more than happy to stay with your pet in their own home should you want me to. Depending on the needs of your dog, I can do shorter or longer walks, as I understand some dogs have almost unlimited energy while others might need to go at a slower pace & shorter distance.

To ensure the best experience for you and your pet, I would ask to meet them in their safe place before taking them out or staying the night. I would also appreciate to be given any additional information such as: dietary requirements, behavioural issues, ongoing medical issues, medication etc. If your dog isn't totally friendly/ comfortable around other animals that's okay too! I can simply keep them on the lead for the duration of our public walks. This is for the safety of both your pet and others too :)

I live in Killarney town, but would be willing to travel to any surrounding areas within a 40km radius.

We have on occasion, had a dog sitter stay in our home with our dogs, so I understand how important is it to you that your pet is looked after and kept safe while you are not there.

Travel outside of Killarney may incur a travel fee, as well as additional pets.
