About Mariam
Hello! I'm Mariam, a university student living away from home to study at Trinity College Dublin. I'm applying to be a pet sitter because I'm an animal lover with two dogs and two cats back home with my family, and I miss spending time with pets! I live in Rathmines next to a lot of lovely trails in a neighbourhood with plenty of beautiful pets, so I thought this would be a good way to earn some cash whilst doing something I love! I used to walk dogs around Rosedale in Toronto, Canada whilst in high school so I have experience of walking and socialising up to 5 dogs at one time of various breed, size and temperament.
I also pet sit during the holidays, including for my family friend's dog Springsteen (with whom I spend 4 weeks in his owner's London home whilst they're away on holiday) and my elementary school teacher's cat over Christmas and New Year. I've lived all over, having grown up in Beirut, Lebanon and studying in Toronto, then London, and now Dublin. I feel super familiar with all sorts of pet owner preferences, and coming from a multicultural background has made me a very adaptable and savvy pet sitter who's flexible to all sorts of demands!
In terms of my services, I can provide last-minute dog walks or pet sitting which can include feeding, grooming, and oral medication. I live next to the Rathmines walk along the River Dodder (near the Dropping Well pub) and can offer up to 1 hour-long dog walks Monday through Sunday, morning (before 10:00), afternoon (between 12:00 and 16:00) and evening walks (after 20:00). As a pet sitter, I am committed to staying in with the pet all night and the following day, making sure not to make social plans and try to leave the house as little as possible with the exception of attending classes at college. I have an excellent memory and have never lost a pet owner's key or been locked out.
