My name is Grace, I am 28. I have recently moved to Dublin to seek employment. After living in the Netherlands on and off for 10 years, I returned home to Sligo last year and have spent the winter in the countryside hanging out with the local cows, sheep, horses, donkey - as well as my own 2 dogs and 2 cats!!

I have always enjoyed spending quality time with animals and overall being best friends with them -going on walks, playing, having cuddles on the coach, leaving them to do their thing etc !! Other than my three years in college, I have always lived with an animal (and even then the campus cat used to come to my home a LOT! and I eventually got some fish) so seems normal to have something running around terrorising me at all hours of the day, feels a bit quiet without it!.. I have long-term experience with dogs, cats, ferrets, guinea pigs, hamsters, chickens (and chicks), ducks (and ducklings), fish, ants, snails and stick insects. I am also fairly competent with turtles, iguanas and other rodents. Happy to take on snakes, other reptiles, birds and fish with instructions.

In particular I have experience with rescue dogs and cats as we have housed and adopted many rescue animals over the years. I can also get on well with anxious animals! I know it can be distressing for animals to be away from their owners, so happy to accommodate any routines, quirks and comforts in order to make sure your pet is having the best experience possible while you are away. I can also change bandages or administer medication, give them a bath or brush hair (bit squemish with needles so prefer not to). I often mind all 4 of our pets alone with no issue, and have done pet sits before for friends in the Netherlands for puppies/ dogs and cats that were not familiar with me.

I would love to take pets in my house, but as I am living with my aunt's cat - she's not very sociable in her old age and doesn't like dogs. I can take small caged pets in my room.
Very happy to come and hang out with your dogs/ cats etc and go for walks while I seek my next job!
I also used to be a cleaner so know how to leave a home tidy and clean, manage keys and alarms etc.

Based in South Dublin, Deansgrange, but happy to cycle to houses close by or hop on the bus into town. Unfortunately anything East is probably not worth my time to do day trips as it would be too long on transport and too far to cycle.. but open to negotiate!

Help me distract myself from coming home with a pocket mouse or a puppy!!
