I have been pet sitting in people's homes regularly for over 20 years. Last year I moved from the states to Ireland so I am looking for new pets to get to know and love. I have the most experience with dogs and cats but I have also taken care of parrots, chickens, turtles, and even a bearded dragon. I have experience giving medication by pill and injection. I can reinforce and maintain in-progress training when needed as well. I am calm in emergencies and able to think and act decisively, skills that I learned during years spent as a lifeguard. I know the importance of diet and routines. I make sure pets get their meals on time and that dogs get a good walk everyday. I walk most dogs 45-60 minutes a day, but I am happy to adjust to shorter or longer walks since each dog's needs are different. When cats or dogs initiate play and ask for pets I give them attention while watching their body language to make sure they are having fun. I like exploring new neighborhoods with a dog who knows the area. I also love to spend quality time with your pets in your home. I enjoy cooking from scratch, reading, sketching, and watching sci-fi movies. I am a non-smoker and I aim to leave every home a little cleaner than I found it.
