About me:

I am a 27-year-old animal lover with volunteering experience with W.C.A.W.G. I have been pet sitting locally, independently and with Pawshake since January 2022 - check out my reviews. I am a very patient and caring individual with the majority of my experience being with rescue animals and pets with anxiety and behavioural issues.

Experience:

I volunteer at the West Cork Animal Welfare Group for rescue dogs and cats, which allows me to learn about animal behavior and rehabilitation, as well as some training techniques.

I am comfortable with animals that are 'difficult' as my own dog had behavior issues as a result of his traumatic start in life, being a rescue dog that was abandoned. I have a full driver's licence.

Dog Walking - 30-45 mins

• Will collect and leave dog where requested by the owner
• Will lock up and leave key where requested after a walk
• Will keep dog on-lead unless owners requests off-lead walks
• Will feed and water dog if requested by the owner
• Poop-bags, lead, towel, toys provided by owner
• Disclose who will be at the house and if there are any security cameras inside or outside the house
• Will take photo updates to give you peace of mind while I am with your pet
• I usually request a meet and greet in advance

Home Visits - 30-45 mins

• House/apartment locked up and secured after the booking
• Any keys will be be returned at the end of the booking as instructed by the owner
• Collecting mail, watering plants and taking out the bins (if requested) 
• Price includes the care of up to 3 pets
• Cats - clean litter tray and spend time with the cat
• Dogs - spend time engaging and playing with the dog. Dogs will be brought out to the toilet.
• Puppies/senior dogs - clean up any mess made by the dog
• Small pets - Tidy dog area and do a full clean if the booking is more than 4 days 
• For dogs, the owner or friend/family will be returning home to the pets each day. This service is not a stand-alone solution for when an owner is away.
• Pets have access to shade and a cool place when hot and a warm place when cold
• Easy and safe access to the house/apartment
• Food and cleaning supplies in a convenient location (if applicable)
• If the owner has a security camera inside or outside the house, they need to disclose this to the sitter

• Will take photo updates to give you peace of mind while I am with your pet

• I usually request a meet and greet in advance

Dog Boarding - 24 hours

Vocal dogs: Not able to take dogs that whine loudly or bark continuously for long periods of time, particularly at night (dogs that are severely anxious or severe separation anxiety). These vocal dogs that can be calmed by walks and affection are accepted.

• In my home.
• Food, bowls, bed, toys, medication, lead, poop bags, Vet contact details all provided by owner
• Pets not left alone
• Play with pets and ensure they are comfortable and relaxed the entire time
• Pets will sleep indoors in the sitting room or in my own room depending on preference of owner
• Photos sent regularly to owner during the day with updates on the dogs wellbeing
• 1 walk per day minimum (45 mins+)
• I can be flexible so don't be afraid to ask if you have any special requirements or requests !

Day Care - 4 hours (can adjust this based on requests with a price increase)

• In my own home
• Food etc. provided by owner
• Pets not left alone
• Play with pets and ensure they are comfortable and relaxed the entire time
• Pets will have access to all indoor areas with back door open to the garden at all times
• Photos sent with updates on pets wellbeing
• Walk included
• I can be flexible so don't hesitate to ask about any special requirement or requests !
