I share my house with my Foxhound "Chimay" and 2 young sons. We live 2 minutes walk from the beautiful Foret de Soignies and walk there every day rain or shine.

Having grown up on a farm, I was very used to always having dogs around but given my hectic work life, I hadn't lived with a dog for over 20 years. After leaving my long-term job, I decided it was time again to find a 4-legged friend and we adopted Chimay from the Croix Bleue at the start of 2018. Chimay is a sociable and friendly dog and loves to meet new friends for play. Chimay gets at least 3 walks a day and we average over 10000 steps a day.

He prefers mature dogs to puppies and definitely doesn’t like cats! We don't take very large dogs and Chimay doesn't like German Shepherds so they are out too! 

I take in a maximum 2 dogs at a time and as I mainly work from home (giving private English language classes - Auderghem ESL), I give Chimay and my guests plenty of attention.
