Since childhood, animals have always been part of my life, especially dogs. I’m the kind of person who can’t walk past a dog on the street without wanting to stop and give them some affection. When I was younger, I even considered becoming a veterinarian, but I realized that, despite my immense love for animals, seeing them suffer affected me deeply. Still, my interest in the health field remained, and I graduated in Psychology—a profession that strengthened in me the importance of care, empathy, attention, and respect for each being’s individual needs.

I’ve always lived with dogs and understand that each one has their own personality, routine, and way of communicating. I currently have two dogs: João, a 12‑year‑old dachshund who is incredibly sweet, and Yuri, a 5‑year‑old English bulldog who can be a bit grumpy but is a loyal and loving companion. Taking care of them has taught me responsibility, patience, and unconditional love.

I recently moved to Ireland to study English, and my dogs couldn’t come with me. I miss them deeply. Being a pet sitter/dog walker is, for me, a way to stay close to the kind of love that has always been part of my life.
