How long pets are left alone really depends on the pet and the situation — I always discuss this with owners beforehand so we agree on what works best for your pet's needs and personality. I'm comfortable giving simple medication like pills, though I'm not able to administer injections. If anything unexpected comes up, I stay calm and act quickly, contacting you and your vet straight away so your pet gets the right care without delay.

Having owned a small dog breed myself, I have a particular soft spot for smaller, more nervous dogs and know how to make them feel secure in a new environment. I live in an apartment without a garden, so for day care and house sitting I'm best suited to calmer dogs and cats rather than very high-energy breeds that need a lot of outdoor space — though I'm always happy to make up for that with extra walks and outings.
