Hello! My name is Edith Miranda Gutiérrez, I’m 26 years old and currently living in Limerick while studying English in the afternoons. I am a Special Education Teacher specialized in Learning Disabilities, and throughout my career I have worked in different community settings, including teaching at university level. These experiences have helped me become a patient, responsible, empathetic, and highly adaptable person.

Animals have always been an important part of my life. Since I was born, I have lived with pets, especially dogs, cats, and small animals, and caring for them has taught me how important trust, affection, and consistency are for their wellbeing. I also have a strong interest in biology and nature, and in my free time I enjoy birdwatching, nature observation, and learning more about animals and their behavior. I love art as well, especially drawing and painting animals, pets, and native wildlife, as it helps me feel even more connected to nature and the unique personalities animals have.

I have extensive experience taking care of pets for family, friends, and other people, both for short and long periods of time. I have provided companionship, walks, overnight care, help with vet visits, medication administration, and daily routines adapted to each pet’s individual needs. I have also assisted pets during post-surgery recovery, providing attentive care, administering medication, monitoring their comfort, and following specific instructions to help them recover safely and calmly.

I also have experience caring for senior dogs with special requirements, as I cared for my beloved dog Osito until the end of his life at 19 years old. During his final years, he needed very specific care due to arthritis and canine dementia, which taught me even more about patience, attention, and compassionate care.

At home, I have two rescued cats, Cronos and Mishka, who are a huge part of my life and whom I love deeply. They have taught me even more about understanding different personalities, boundaries, and emotional needs in animals. If you want to meet them, you can visit my profile.
