Hello!

My name is Méabh and I live in the Dublin Mountains. I’ve always been surrounded by animals (dogs, horses, sheep, cows, cats and rabbits) so looking after pets has just been part of everyday life for me.

I live here with my own dog, Ted. He’s friendly and easy-going, and he’s well used to having other dogs around the place... just don’t expect him to share his favourite ball without a bit of negotiation!

I’ve been offering dog boarding from my home for the past three years and have had great experiences with the dogs who’ve stayed here, along with lovely feedback from their owners. We’re lucky to have five acres of land around the house, so there’s plenty of space for dogs to run and explore. I go walking every day, rain or shine, to Bohernabreena Reservoir, nearby forest trails and quiet country roads.

As well as daily walks, dogs staying here can enjoy running around the garden, tackling our outdoor agility course, or diving into the ball pit. There's always something to keep them busy and tails wagging!

Dogs who stay here live in the house with us. They eat, sleep and relax inside, and in the winter you’ll usually find them curled up in front of the stove in the kitchen. I give all the dogs plenty of attention and company, and as someone who enjoys baking, there’s often a batch of homemade, dog-friendly biscuits going around after a walk.

I’ll also keep you updated throughout your dog’s stay with photos and messages so you know how they’re getting on.

I am currently only take bookings for a minimum of 2 nights to ensure stability for both your pet and mine and also to minimise schedule distributions.

Dogs with good recall are preferred due to the openness surrounding the house as it is ideal for them to be off leash. Also, in Spring there are lambs being born in neighboring fields so it is important that dogs can be easily called back to ensure safety.

I am only taking neutered male dogs to avoid possible tension with Ted. This excludes reoccurring guests, golden retrievers and small friendly dogs.
