I was lucky to grow up in a family where animals were always present and beloved. I have had dogs, cats, birds and other small pets.

When I moved out of my parents house, my life felt so empty without them around that I looked for my own within the first couple of months. Here I hit the jackpot by meeting Pilou, a beautiful black and white cat. He stayed by my side through 14 amazing years, we travelled to different countries together and had many adventures but he unfortunately passed away in August 2023. As I am still grieving and my circumstances have changed, I do not want to get a new pet right away but I do miss it dearly every day. I am always looking after relatives' pets, I never go out without dog treats just in case there is a chance encounter on my daily walks. I have looked after my landlady's 2 dogs and her chicken for three years while she was at work as I was working from home. I now have succesfully completed my QQI Level 5 Animal Care course in Cork at St John's College. During the course, I gained experience in dog grooming, training and behaviour. I currently live in Bantry and have since worked at a doggy daycare as well as boarding kennels. I have also trained my parents' dog, a 3 year old Rottweiler x Labrador who had been rescued from the streets.

I would love to spend my free time meeting and caring for your pets. I have my own car and favorite walking spots around West Cork, I would also be able to come for house visits. As Pilou was sick the last couple of years, I am unfortunately familiar with giving oral medication if need be. I'm looking to care for your beloved furry friend(s) as I would have liked my own to be cared for, with the love and respect they deserve. I always send regular updates of the adventures we go on together so you know that we're having fun!
