Originally from Roscommon I grew up on a farm with many different animals, such as cats, dogs, cows, sheep, pigs, horses, geese, hens and goats, so I feel like I have a good connection to animals of all shapes and sizes. We had two dogs on the farm that we trained to work with sheep and cattle. With this work I got familiar with training dogs to work best with animals and to control them in many situations and environments.
My uncle is a vet so I've learnt a lot from him over the years about animal behaviour and care, and about their health needs and how to handle and care for them best.
I trained in agricultural science in school and later went to agricultural college in Mountbellew, county Galway, where I received an NCA in Agriculture. In the course we covered the nutritional needs of many animals and their handling and maintenance on a farm.
I'm trained as a chef, so would understand a lot about food and nutrition, and what's good for our bodies, and what not to eat. This experience gives me a greater awareness of a balanced diet and our food needs.
You can learn a lot from animals, and there love shows no boundaries, so it's important that you take care of them individually and with patience.
Drop me a message and say hi, I won't bite or scratch you, I promise 😃
Timothy is a dream! He looked after our (very) excitable dog and he had a great time. You’re animal is in safe hands with him!
Definitely will ask Timothy to pet sit again!
