I was lucky to grow up in a family where animals were always present and beloved. I have had dogs, cats, birds and other small pets.
When I moved out of my parents house, my life felt so empty without them around that I looked for my own within the first couple of months. Here I hit the jackpot by meeting Pilou, a beautiful black and white cat. He stayed by my side through 14 amazing years, we travelled to different countries together and had many adventures but he unfortunately passed away in August 2023. As I am still grieving and my circumstances have changed, I do not want to get a new pet right away but I do miss it dearly every day. I am always looking after relatives' pets, I never go out without dog treats just in case there is a chance encounter on my daily walks. I have looked after my landlady's 2 dogs and her chicken for three years while she was at work as I was working from home. I now have succesfully completed my QQI Level 5 Animal Care course in Cork at St John's College. During the course, I gained experience in dog grooming, training and behaviour. I currently live in Bantry and have since worked at a doggy daycare as well as boarding kennels. I have also trained my parents' dog, a 3 year old Rottweiler x Labrador who had been rescued from the streets. 
I would love to spend my free time meeting and caring for your pets. I have my own car and favorite walking spots around West Cork, I would also be able to come for house visits. As Pilou was sick the last couple of years, I am unfortunately familiar with giving oral medication if need be. I'm looking to care for your beloved furry friend(s) as I would have liked my own to be cared for, with the love and respect they deserve. I always send regular updates of the adventures we go on together so you know that we're having fun!

My name is Courtney. I am 24 years old. Iive in drimoleague. I did lvl 5 animal care in Saint johns 4 years ago. The course included animal welfare, animal behaviour and dog grooming. I volunteered at the cspca and other organisations. I am comfortable around all breeds of dogs Pet sitting and daycare: I can pet sit from puppies too seniors. Your dog&nbsp; will always get the love and care it deserves in my care. it will be fed, walked and played with, loads of cuddles too on the couch.I also do daycare and have a king Charles who comes to me every Wednesdaymeet and greet: I am happy to do a meetand greet with you and your pet to make sure we are all comfortable with one another before booking.During their stay they will be walked twice a day and will be taken to the walkways or the side roadsI can do house visits and you'll receive daily updates and I can do a meet and greet beforehand&nbsp;I can do house-sitting as long as I've no guest dogs in my home so please book or enquire about this in advance. I will send daily updates on WhatsApp of your pets and happy to do jobs around the house also&nbsp;House visits and house sitting I'm comfortable around all sorts of furry friends  etcMy home:My is just outside drimoleague. It is a bungalow with lovely views. Two sitting rooms.It has central heating on mostly&nbsp; and fires are on in the winter so it's always warm for the dogs.&nbsp; All my garden is secure with a secure fence so the dogs have full access to inside and outside my home but I can keep the dogs on the lead at all times if you want me to do so &nbsp; Dogs can sleep in their on bed or my bed I don't mind.
