&nbsp;PROFILEI love the great outdoors and have recently moved to Kinsale from East Cork although I am originally from Dublin.I have several years experience looking after puppies, dogs and cats. I find the simplicity of animals very comforting and healing&nbsp;I am a puppy fosterer with 3 national service dog charities as well as having had my own animals.Fostering would involve taking a puppy/puppies into your home for anything from 3 months to a year.During this time you train and socialise the pups and with training sessions and with the puppy co-ordinator.You are also responsible for the general welfare and health and safety of the animal.You would administer medication as required and take them for scheduled as well as unscheduled Vet visits.&nbsp;As they are service dogs they can be brought almost everywhere with you. I have loved animals since I was five years old. I got my first dog at 8 years old and fed/walked him every day including grooming! I also volunteered at rescue centres dog walking in my early teens. In my mid teens I volunteered in the local dog groomers and in my late teens I started puppy raising for Irish guide dogs. The puppy I raised is now a fully qualified autism assistance dog! I now have two of my own beautiful golden retriever cross collies who are very spoilt. I strongly believe in being present with animals so while I am minding and or walking your dogs I will be giving them my undivided attention. I can also mind cats I have three crazy cats of my own who are also slightly spoilt. I can do daily visits and a few walks. Please message me if interested I would love to meet your dogs and cats. I am available for visits multiple times a day depending on availability. I can administer medication if needed as I worked in a vets. I can also water plants and bring in mail as needed. 

Hello. I am Mike. I've had dogs all of my life and each one has taught me to be a better dog-handler and trainer. The bond we build with our dogs is very special and I enjoy working with them and seeing them live their best life.
I am a mature adult (prefer not to say “old”) and now commit more time to working with dogs.

EXPERIENCE
I participate in competitive obedience and scent-work, where I enjoy seeing my dogs and those of my clubmates progress.
I am a search and rescue dog handler and am passionate about the great work our canine friends do.
I have also served for several years on the board of a service dog organisation, and have learned lots from service dog training approaches and standards.
And of course, I walk. Rain or shine, the dogs and I enjoy walking and keeping fit.

DOG WALKING
I would be happy to discuss your dog’s needs. I walk strictly on-lead and promote happy loose lead walking.&nbsp;
My vehicle is equipped with 3 transport crates so I can walk near your home or transport to local forest paths, etc.
I am available M-F during your busy work days and can give your dog a bit of a stretch and some adventure.

HOME VISITS
I am available to drop-in and give your pet a garden break and check on food and water as required at strategic times that fit your schedule.
