Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Malahide Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Malahide cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Malahide cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

I'm an animal lover with experience caring for my two sweet Shitzus, aged 4 and 3. They currently live abroad with my mom and I miss them a lot, that’s one of the main reasons I decided to become a pet sitter. Spending time with dogs brings me so much joy, and I’d love to share that care and affection with your furry friend. I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy to look after your pet. I’m very passionate about dogs, attentive, patient, and always make sure every dog feels safe, loved, and comfortable. I enjoy walks, playtime, cuddles, and keeping each pet’s routine consistent. Your pet’s health and safety are my top priorities, so I only accept to mind vaccinated pets. I can’t wait to meet your dog and give them all the love the attention they deserve while you’re away!

I’ve loved animals my entire life and have always been surrounded by dogs. Even during my time studying abroad, I made sure to live somewhere with a dog because I can’t imagine life without their loving and loyal presence. For me, animals are our greatest teachers – they show us unconditional love and remind us to live in the moment.

My partner and I shared our lives with a sweet dog named Bruce Lee, who passed away about a year ago. While we’re not ready for a new pet of our own yet, I deeply miss the companionship and joy that animals bring. That’s why I’m so passionate about being a pet sitter. It’s my way of sharing love and care with animals while giving their owners peace of mind when they’re away.

Hi! I’m a dedicated dog lover based in the Portmarnock area with a genuine passion for caring for animals. I have my own French Bulldog, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your dog. For me, it’s not just about walking dogs — it’s about making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy at all times.
I regularly walk dogs in local areas such as Portmarnock Beach, local parks, and quiet residential routes, depending on what best suits your dog’s needs. Walks typically last between 30 minutes to 1 hour, and I keep numbers small so each dog gets proper attention and care.
I am comfortable handling different breeds, temperaments, and energy levels, and I always adapt each walk to suit the individual dog. Whether your dog needs a relaxed stroll or a more active walk, I make sure they feel secure and enjoy their time.
Safety is my top priority. I stay aware of surroundings at all times, keep dogs under control, and ensure they are secure throughout the walk. In the unlikely event of an issue, I remain calm and act quickly in the dog’s best interest.
I also provide updates after walks, so you have peace of mind knowing your dog is happy and well cared for.
For safety reasons, I only work with fully vaccinated dogs.

Hey there! My name is Niamh I'm 30 and I love animals. A bit of background about my animal history, I've loved animals since I was a kid, from dogs and cats to snakes, lizards, bugs, fish, you name it I love it! I have experience working in a pet store where I learned a lot about all kinds of animals and their care needs. I currently have one kitty her name is Dubh, she is the love of my life, my child if you will, a chatty little thing, she always keeps me entertained! I've had 5 cats altogether at one point, so I'm well versed in all kinds of behaviors and backgrounds. I'm use to quiet seniors or rambunctious young cats, I love them all! I treat every animal I meet like they're my own, there's absolutely nothing I wouldn't do for them, you can trust that with me you'll never have to worry about them! I'm currently only looking to care of cats right now as they are what I have the most experience with, I know when I'm going away it's always hard to find someone who will look after them for me, I hope I can be that person for you!
I am available 6 days a week, and can work with you on scheduled times you'd like me to visit. My service will be a 30 minute visit, where I'll feed, clean litter boxes, and play with your kitty. If there's any medication needed or if you'd like their coat brushed or nails trimmed (if cat allows that without any stress) I will do that too, I can bring my own nail clippers however a pet brush will need to be provided from you.

Hello! My name is Zaib, and I am dedicated to pet sitting because I genuinely love animals and enjoy spending time with them. Although I didn’t have pets growing up, my passion for animals has led me to pursue pet sitting as a meaningful way to connect with and care for them.
My motivation to become a pet sitter is to provide reliable, loving care for pets while their owners are away. My best friend has a cat named Lucy, who has always been very fond of me. I’m accustomed to looking after her, accompanying her to the vet, and spending hours playing with her or simply relaxing together. I understand how important it is for pets to feel secure and well cared for in their own homes or when visiting a new environment. I’m committed to ensuring that every pet receives individualised attention, whether that means playtime, exercise, or simply companionship.
I have experience working with various pets and am always eager to learn more about their unique needs. To ensure the health and safety of all pets in my care, I only accept vaccinated pets into my home. This helps create a safe and comfortable environment for every animal.
If you’re looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter, I would be thrilled to meet you and your pets. Feel free to reach out—I’m here to provide the best care possible!

Hello, my name is Selin and I recently moved to Dublin. I am originally from Turkey, a country well-known around the world for its love and respect for cats. At my family home in Adana, I lived with four cats, all of whom I personally rescued from the streets and adopted into our family. I know how important peace of mind is, so I always provide daily updates with photos or videos, so you can relax knowing your cat is in good hands.
I offer feeding, clean water, litter box maintenance, playtime, cuddles, and of course lots of affection. I am reliable, responsible, and respectful of your home. I look forward to meeting your furry friend and making them feel happy and cared for.

Hello my dears, I have been living in Ireland for over 2 years and 6 months. I would like to talk a little about my experience with animals. I love them passionately. I have a Dalmatian that I left in Brazil with my mother 🥹. Unfortunately, here in Ireland I still don't have one, but I always look after my friends' cats and dogs when they travel or have some commitment. I love spending time with them when I can. I know how to take very good care of animals, I have a lot of knowledge such as... I can bathe them, cut their nails, comb their fur, play with them, pet them, walk them, give them medicine, feed them, etc... so you can be sure that your animal will be in great hands. If you have any questions, you can call me and I will be happy to answer them. 🫶🏼 ‍🦺.
