Top cities for cat sitting in Ireland

Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Limerick Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Limerick cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Limerick cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

Hi! My name is Alejandra, and I’m a caring, responsible, and trustworthy pet sitter based in Limerick. I’m originally from Chile, and I’ve always been surrounded by animals, which helped me develop a calm, patient, and attentive approach to pet care.

I have experience caring for both dogs and cats, including feeding, walks, playtime, companionship, and home visits. I understand how important it is for pets to keep their usual routines, especially when their owners are away, and I always follow instructions carefully.

For dog walking, I focus strongly on safety by using secure leads, choosing calm walking routes, and adapting the pace to each dog’s size, age, and energy level. I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes and temperaments. For cats, I provide quiet companionship, feeding, litter cleaning, and gentle interaction, always respecting their space and behaviour.

I also have basic experience with small animals and make sure their environment is clean, calm, and safe. I’m happy to care for pets with specific routines or special instructions, and I can send regular updates and photos for your peace of mind.

Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are always my priority 🤍

My name is Lucas, I'm Brazilian, I've lived in Ireland for 8 months. I really like dogs and I really miss my dog who lives in Brazil.
I signed up here because I need an extra income (I work as a chef de partie at 101).
As this is a job that I can organize the schedule, as it fits my routine and the dogs', I thought I should try.
In Brazil I, sporadically, walked the dogs of relatives and neighbors, without payment, just because I liked walking them. I've never had problems with anyone, neither with those who were walking or with those who were on the loose (in Brazil there are a lot of stray wandering the streets)
I am very organized and I have an incredible love for dogs, I would take better care of my own life so that they are safe and take a good walk.
