Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Greystones Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Greystones cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Greystones cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

Hi! I’m someone who genuinely loves animals and enjoys spending time with them. I’ve grown up around pets and understand how important it is for owners to know that their animals are safe, comfortable and well looked after when they’re not around. I’m responsible, patient and caring, and I always try to make sure every pet gets the attention and care they need.I have experience caring for my own dog, including feeding, walking, playing and making sure they are happy and comfortable. I understand that every dog has their own personality and routine, so I’m happy to follow an owner’s instructions and adapt to what works best for their pet.I offer dog walking and home visits, where I can provide exercise, playtime, feeding, fresh water and plenty of attention. Walks are usually around 30–60 minutes, while home visits can be arranged depending on what your pet needs.I’m mainly available for dogs and other friendly household pets. I’ll always treat your pet with the same care and attention I would give my own. If anything unexpected happens, I’ll contact you straight away and make sure your pet is safe.

Hi! My name is Sarah, although I go by my middle name, Katy. I’m a qualified veterinarian who graduated from University College Dublin in 2025, and I’ve always had a huge love for animals. Before studying veterinary medicine, I completed a Bachelor of Science in Animal and Veterinary Sciences, so caring for animals has truly been a lifelong passion of mine!
I grew up with two dogs and have been dog-sitting and caring for pets throughout high school, university, and beyond. I have experience walking both small and large dogs and am particularly fond of smaller breeds such as Shih Tzus, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, and Bichons. That said, I absolutely love dogs of all shapes and sizes and would be delighted to care for any friendly, loving dog.
As a veterinarian, I’m also comfortable administering medications and am confident recognising when a pet may need additional attention or veterinary care. I know there is a veterinary practice nearby in Greystones should an emergency ever arise, although I always take care to prioritise your pet’s safety, including keeping dogs securely on their leads during walks.
I’m also very comfortable around cats and would love to provide visits and care for your feline friends too!
Areas I cover:
I offer pet care services in coastal Greystones. I live in Glenealy and don’t drive, but my husband works in Greystones, so I’m able to travel there with him.
Services and rates:
Dog walking

 30-minute walk: €20
Additional dog from the same household: +€5

Cat care

I’ll be available to start offering my services from 31 August.
If you’re looking for someone who will treat your pets with the same care and attention they receive at home, I’d love to hear from you! Please feel free to message me with any questions or to have a chat about your pet’s needs.
