Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Ballincollig Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Ballincollig cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Ballincollig cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

I'm currently in Cork as an English student to improve my English skills. In Brazil I study veterinary and I'll be graduated next year. I applied to be a pet sitter because I love being surrounded be animals and I enjoy having the opportunity to take care of them, besides I need to make some money for my exchange program. I have a small dog in Brazil, her name is Lolla and also a cat named Abigail. I miss them so much. I'm willing to walk, play, and give a lot of attention to your pet. I'll do it like I do with my own pets Lola and Abigail. I also have experience as a vet, so if your animal needs some medicine or special treatment I'm able to offer. I'm looking forward to take well care of your pet.

Hi! I'm Emily, a passionate animal lover from Brazil, living in Ireland for the past 5 months. I’ve been surrounded by pets my entire life, having raised both dogs and cats, which taught me to understand their unique personalities and routines.
Throughout my life caring for animals, I have handled various hands-on situations, from managing high-energy large dogs to earning the trust of very fearful, rescued cats by using a calm and gentle approach. When pet sitting, my daily routine is highly organized: I strictly follow your feeding schedules, double-check that fresh water is always available, administer any needed oral medications, and allocate dedicated time for interactive mental stimulation and play.
Safety is my absolute priority. During our 30 to 60-minute walks, I always keep dogs on a secure, short leash, remain fully alert to our surroundings to avoid reactive encounters with other animals, and constantly monitor the pavements to ensure they don't pick up or eat anything hazardous off the ground.
I have flexible availability and prefer to care for one pet at a time to ensure 100% of my attention. I will keep you fully updated with daily photo turnouts and playtime messages so you can have complete peace of mind. I look forward to meeting your furry family member!

I've been a pet sitter for everyone I know for as long as I can remember! I spent almost 6 years volunteering at one of the largest animal shelters in the Pacific Northwest of the United States before actually working there in the customer care department for 3 months this past summer. I have years of experience working with dogs and cats of all kinds of energy and training levels which has provided me with patience and strong animal handling skills. My volunteering also helped me be able to read animal body language quickly and easily which helps in stressful situations. I have also spent lots of time working with kittens and gained knowledge of many symptoms to look out for in many animal diseases. As well as that I have experience working with guinea pigs, rabbits, chinchillas, hamsters, and lizards. At home I am fortunate to have had a lot of pets. Currently my family has one dog, two cats, and two guinea pigs! I am also a current undergraduate student at the University College Cork studying a Bachelor of science in Biological, Environmental, and Geological Sciences.

Hi everyone! I'm Laura, an animal lover with a special place in my heart for dogs. I’ve always had a deep connection with animals, both big and small, but dogs have been my greatest love. I used to have two wonderful dogs, but sadly, my sweet old Lady passed away a year ago. Now, I have only my lovely Reina, a rescue dog from a shelter. She had a tough start as a puppy, but now she has found a loving home with me and my family. I'm currently a theatre student at UCC, which means I'm far away from my home and I cant see my furry friend. I love her so much! I'd like to extend that same care and affection to your dog. I'm a responsible and attentive person who will treat your furry family member with the same love and care as my own.
Dogs have always been a part of my family, and with my grandmother being a vet, I’ve learned a lot about handling them and taking care of their needs. Moreover, last summer I was volunteering in a dog's shelter in Greece, where I had to help to take care of 300 dogs! So I believe I can handle your friend too! I live close to Fitzgerald Park, so I can take your dog for fun strolls no matter the weather. And if it gets rainy or muddy, don’t worry—I'll always bring a towel to keep your dog clean and comfortable. What is more, I got my bike so I can visit you and your pet even if it is not in my neighbourhood.
Whenever I'm not studying, I'm available to take your dog for walks, and I'm sure we'll both have a great time! Rest assured, your dog will be in safe, caring hands with me.

I'm 34 years, and for almost 15 yrs I was blessed with my Chauser (schnauzer) that changed completely my life showing me so much about unconditional love and how beautiful the Dogs world was.
In the US and Switzerland I have take care of dogs mainly, assisting with medicine schedul (when they have to take treatments, pills, homeopathic drops or others) take them for walks, feed them. For long stays, hours or days. I also play with them. And apdat to their needs.
regarding myself I can share that I'm reapectful, and treat pets with love, respect and kindness, I think that animals are wisdom and their energy heals, and you always can learn respect them.
I love to pet sitter as is also a way to be in touch with this beautiful souls and have wonderful time.
I have moré experience with dogs, but I do have some with cats and I love them too.
I don't smoke or any equivalent or even drink, so your pets will be in healthy adorbale hands.
If you need to have more information or want to ask anything else please feel free to contact me.

I have always had a deep passion for animals, especially dogs and cats. Growing up, they were never just pets to me – they were family. Back in Brazil, I am the proud owner of two loving Golden Retrievers and a beautiful Siamese cat. I care for them as if they were my own children, making sure they are healthy, happy, and loved every single day.
I believe animals bring joy, comfort, and unconditional love into our lives, and they deserve the same in return. I often take my pets for outdoor activities, playtime, and walks to keep them active and engaged. These moments create a strong bond and make me even more certain that caring for animals is what I truly love to do.
Being a pet sitter allows me to share that same dedication, affection, and responsibility with other furry friends who need a loving companion.
Thank You Renato

Hello, nice to meet you!

My name is Carlos, I’m 28 years old, originally from Brazil, and I’ve been living in Ireland for almost 4 years now—I moved here in October 2021, and I absolutely love it!

Even though I really enjoy my life here, my whole family is back in Brazil. One of my biggest dreams is to work hard and eventually buy a house for them there. So I thought—why not raise money doing something I genuinely love?

I’ve always been passionate about dogs and cats. I grew up with two amazing pets, and they were a huge part of my childhood. Sadly, as we grow older, so do they… and nothing can truly replace them. But I try to fill that space in my heart by spending time with as many furry friends as I can!

That’s why I’m here
Why not work doing something that brings you joy and helps others at the same time?

I promise to take care of your pets with all the love, respect, and responsibility they deserve. I’ll also keep you updated regularly with photos and messages so you can feel confident and at ease while you’re away.

I already have a main job, but I’m looking for a second source of income—so I will treat this opportunity with complete professionalism. If you want your pet to have the best time ever while you’re busy, I’m here for that!

Feel free to reach out to me anytime!

I treat every pet like my own, offering patience, attention, and genuine affection. Whether it’s going for walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping them company, I’m here to make sure your furry friend feels safe and happy.
