We are a family of four (mum, dad and two teenage girls) living in Sandymount. We recently lost our elderly dog and while the house is very quiet without her we are not ready to commit to a new family pet just yet. Because I always found it expensive and stressful to have someone mind our dog when we went on holiday, I always said I'd offer dog sitting in our home when in a position to do so - and we are now. I believe leaving your dog with a minder should be stress free and shouldn't cost a small fortune. Walking, feeding and giving lots of cuddles to a dog is not hard work!

I work from home part-time and teenagers are on their school holidays so there are always people in the house. Your dog will never be left alone for more than one hour. We have a large, fully fenced, secure garden to play in and lots of great routes locally for dog walks. We only take one dog at a time (maybe two if from the same family). We have dog beds, toys etc, so you would only need to bring dog food and feeding instructions. Duration of daily dog walks will match whatever you do normally .

We are very flexible on drop off and collection times and could probably even provide a collection/drop off service if needed. For first-time guests, we offer a free 'introductory visit' whereby you leave your dog with us for 2/3 hours to make sure we all get along. 

We have a no dogs in the bedroom rule in our house so any dog we mind must be happy sleeping downstairs.

 Happy to give any required medication to the dog so long as the dog is happy to swallow it! Should any pet emergency arise we will phone you immediately to decide what to do. Worst case scenario our local vet is 2 minutes away and UCD animal hospital is a short drive away.

The aim is to provide stress free dog minding so that you can focus on holidays/time away.
