Hi, I’m Sadhbh, a 28 year old woman from Sligo, and I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. I grew up surrounded by a strong affection for animals, and that has stayed with me throughout my life. I’m also a vegetarian due to how much I adore animals. 

I have my own dog, Luna, a Cavachon, who is my best friend. Due to living in a Dublin apartment, I haven’t been able to have her with me and she currently stays in Sligo with my mum. I miss her all the time, and that experience has really made me understand how emotional it can be to be separated from your pet. It’s also one of the reasons I’m so motivated to become a pet sitter, being around dogs and caring for them is one of my favourite things.They bring me so much joy.

When caring for dogs, I aim to tailor everything to their individual needs and energy levels. Walks are typically relaxed but can be longer and more active depending on the dog, and I enjoy exploring local parks and green spaces where dogs can safely enjoy exercise and stimulation. I am comfortable with both high-energy dogs who need lots of activity and more relaxed pets who prefer a calmer routine. 

I often visit a friend who pet sits, just to spend time with the dogs she looks after and I would love to do it myself. I would genuinely love the opportunity to care for more dogs and give them the same love and attention I would give my own :)

I closely follow each pet’s normal schedule for feeding, walking, and routines, and I make sure they feel safe and settled in my care. I am attentive, calm, and confident in handling unexpected situations, and I will always prioritise the pet’s wellbeing and safety. In the event of an emergency, I would act quickly, contact the owner immediately, and seek veterinary support if needed.

I am happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can feel reassured while you’re away. I am flexible with availability and always aim to be reliable and consistent for both pets and owners.
