I'm Paula and we offer a home from home holiday for your family dog.
There are four humans in our family and two dogs., Bradley, a 7 year old collie cross, and George, approx 8 year old lurcher (both neutered). Both dogs are rescue dogs. Bradley was locked in a shed for the first 5 months of his life but has grown into the most clever and gentle boy. George was abused terribly and abandoned. He is fantastic will all dogs but is still very nervous meeting new people, so he may bark when he meets you....he's a real softie underneath it all.
Our home has a good size secure back garden and is in a quiet location in the heart of Ratoath village. While in our care our home is your dogs home - there will be no locked away in pens and they will have plenty of interaction with us and our dogs. There will be walks too and a special treat is to visit the nearby Balrath woods. Another favourite walk, weather permitting, is round the beautiful Hill of Tara. Let us know your dog's needs and we will make sure your dog enjoys their holidays just as much as you!
Finally we will keep you informed with daily updates with plenty of photos and videos.
Paula was so welcoming and friendly as where Bradley and George 🐶🐶 !! It was our first time to leave our 8month old puppy so I was nervous. Paula made me feel instantly at ease and kept us updated over the weekend. Milo thoroughly enjoyed his stay.
I would highly recommend Paula and will book again in the future. Thanks again Paula 😃
I highly recommend Paula! From my first phone call with her I knew she would be a kind lady and at our first meet and greet with Olly, I was not disappointed. Olly made himself right at home and took to George and Bradley, no problem.
Olly has back issues, newly diagnosed, and Paula was so understanding and had no problem in being asked to administer medication if needed which he actually did on one occasion. Paula sent us videos and photos during the week which was such a bonus , it was great to see Olly being so happy.
Paula and her family are superb dog sitters and I am grateful for all the care and attention given to Olly, even tough he constantly annoyed everyone asking for their food!
I am so glad to have found Paula and I know Olly will definitely have no problem in returning to her!
Imelda & Family
I have been fostering dogs for 3 years now. I began by providing holiday cover for Irish Guiide Dogs for the Blind, and then got into transport and foster of rescued and abandoned dogs.
Bradley was rescued as a 4 month old puppy, having been locked in a shed his entire life. George was terribly neglected and abused - so I am used to dealing with nervouse and shy dogs.
I recently completed an Internship with the DSPCA King of Paws training academy which broadened my training and dog behaviour knowledge and have completed an introductory TTouch seminar. I also have completed a Canine First Responder course.
I always recommend you call and chat and get a feel for what we have to offer. While you are away we can keep you updated as often as you want with photos and video clips showing how your dog is getting on.
