Hi, I’m an animal lover who has grown up around animals my entire life, so caring for them has always come naturally to me! My family has had dogs since I was a young child. In my family, pets are a part of the family. I started horse riding at six and continued until I was sixteen, during which time I had my own horses and learned first-hand the time and responsibility that goes into looking after animals. I also lived on a farm where we had everything from horses and sheep to dogs and even emus! More recently, I lived in New York, where I worked as a dog walker, so I have experience caring for other people’s pets as well as my own. At home, we have a Shih Tzu Terrier and a German Shepherd, so I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, personalities and energy levels. We rescued our Shih Tzu Terrier at two years of age and he is now 16! Our German Shepherd just turned two. I love getting out for walks, giving dogs plenty of attention and making sure they feel safe, happy and settled while their owners are away. I’m available for dog walking, home visits and overnight house sitting. Whether your dog needs a 30 minute morning or evening walk, a check-in for feeding and company, or someone to stay in your home overnight while you’re away, I’m happy to help. I work in an office four days a week, so on working days I’m generally available for walks and visits early in the morning or in the evenings. I have much greater flexibility at weekends and am generally available throughout the day. I can also stay overnight in your home for house sitting, making sure your pets have company and care in their familiar surroundings. I’m comfortable with dogs of all breeds and sizes, but I do ask that dogs are leash-trained and can be walked safely without excessive pulling. I want every walk to be enjoyable and safe for both of us! I know pets are part of the family, and I’d treat yours with the same care and affection I’d want for my own.
