About Sinead

Hi, I’m Sinead – the heart behind Pawfect Pals 💚
I’m an experienced dog groomer, walker and pet carer based in Galway, offering calm, one-to-one care in a clean and peaceful home environment.
Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I prioritise gentle handling, patience and trust-building. As a groomer, I’m very used to reading body language and working closely with dogs of all temperaments. I never rush, force or overwhelm a dog — everything is done at their pace.

🏡 What a Stay Looks Like
Your dog’s day will be structured but relaxed, depending on their age, personality and energy level.
A typical day may include:
• Morning walk or toilet break
• Calm settling time indoors
• Play sessions or enrichment (snuffle mats, interaction games, gentle training reinforcement)
• Midday walk or outdoor time
• Rest periods in a quiet, cosy space
• Evening walk and wind-down routine
I adjust the routine to suit the individual dog. High-energy dogs receive more structured walks and stimulation. Older or senior dogs receive shorter, slower walks and more rest time.

🐶 Care for Older Dogs
I have experience with senior dogs and understand that they may need:
• Slower walks
• More rest breaks
• Extra patience
• Joint comfort considerations
• Close monitoring of appetite and behaviour
Senior dogs are never pushed beyond their comfort level. Their wellbeing and calm routine come first.

🐾 Managing Multiple Dogs
I only take a small number of dogs at a time to ensure proper supervision and safety.
Introductions are always done slowly and carefully. I observe body language closely and never leave dogs together unsupervised until I am confident they are comfortable.
If needed, dogs can be separated for rest time or feeding to prevent tension or overstimulation.
My own senior dog, Milo, is calm and well-socialised, and he helps create a steady, balanced environment.

🔒 Supervision & Safety
• Dogs are never left alone for long periods
• Feeding is supervised
• Fresh water is always available
• Secure environment with no access to unsafe areas
• Emergency vet access nearby
• Owners receive regular updates and photos
Clear communication is very important to me. I will always update you on how your dog is settling, eating and interacting.
I understand how difficult it can be to leave your pet with someone else. My goal is for your dog to feel safe, calm and genuinely cared for — and for you to feel completely at ease while you’re away.

🐾 Experience & Qualifications
As well as caring for dogs, I also have experience with smaller animals including guinea pigs and other small pets. I understand that small animals require gentle handling, quiet environments and close attention to routine.
I am comfortable with: • Feeding and cleaning routines
• Cage and enclosure care
• Handling small animals safely
• Monitoring behaviour and appetite
I believe all animals — regardless of size — deserve calm, respectful care.

📜 Qualifications
• Certified Dog Groomer
• Pet First Aid Trained
• Experienced in one-to-one animal handling

My grooming background means I am confident handling dogs of all temperaments, including nervous, senior and rescue dogs. Pet first aid training gives owners additional reassurance that I can respond appropriately in an emergency.
Animal welfare is extremely important to me, and I continuously work on improving my knowledge and skills within the industry.
