I’m a genuine animal lover and have grown up around pets my whole life. I recently moved out of my family home, where I had my own dog and three cats, so I really miss having animals around every day. I’ve cared for a wide variety of animals over the years, including dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, rabbits, hamsters, gerbils, turtles, fish and chickens.

I live in a two bedroom apartment in Salthill, right beside the beach, so there are plenty of opportunities for walks and adventures. I also have a car, which means I can take dogs further afield for walks, swimming or exploring. I’m familiar with lovely walking areas such as Dangan and Barna Woods too.

I work from home as a self employed massage therapist. Wednesday to Sunday I’m primarily based at home, and I take no more than four clients a day. I have around an hour between appointments, so there is plenty of time throughout the day for toilet breaks, walks, playtime, cuddles and attention. I’m happy to keep your pet’s normal routine as much as possible, including feeding times, walks, medication and bedtime routines.

Monday and Tuesday are my mobile work days, so these days are more suited to home visits, pop ins and walks at your pet’s own home. I’m happy to spend time giving them company, feeding them, letting them out, playing with them and making sure they’re settled before I leave.

I’m very attentive to each animal’s individual personality and will adapt their care to what they enjoy. Whether they love fetch, swimming, long walks, puzzles and enrichment or simply want lots of cuddles and a cosy place to relax, I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention and stimulation.

I’m also comfortable around social dogs and, where appropriate, can bring a friendly dog to spend supervised time with my family’s dogs, including three Labradors at my granny’s house or my family dog.

As I work from home, the only important limitation is that dogs staying with me need to be comfortable settling quietly for around an hour while I have a client. Dogs with significant separation anxiety or persistent barking when I’m in another room may not be suited to my setup.

Above all, I want every pet in my care to feel safe, loved and completely comfortable while their owner is away. 🐾❤️
