Hello! My name is Ava Laffan, and I’m a student at the University of Galway. For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved dogs. Big or small, shy or outgoing, I love getting to know their personalities and helping them feel comfortable around me.

I have two dogs of my own, and I treat them as if they were my children! I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision. They’re part of your family, and I’ll care for yours with the same kindness, patience and attention I give my own.

I’m reliable and happy to follow your dog’s usual routine. Whether they enjoy a gentle stroll with plenty of sniffing stops or a more energetic walk, I’ll take their needs and your instructions into account. My aim is for your dog to enjoy their time with me and for you to feel confident that they’re being cared for.

I’m available Monday to Thursday after 5 pm, making me a helping hand if you’re working late or need someone to take your companion out in the evening. I’m also happy to send a photo and a little update after our walk.

Please provide a secure lead and a properly fitted collar or harness. Before our first walk, let me know about any health needs, fears, pulling, or reactions to other dogs so we can discuss whether I’m the right fit.

If your dog is nervous around strangers, that’s absolutely something we can talk about. We can arrange a meet-and-greet beforehand so they can get to know me at their own pace—and get all the important sniffing out of the way!
