Hi, I’m Lily! I’m originally from New Zealand and have recently moved to Dublin to live and work. I’m a hockey player and coach, and I also work in fitness and marketing. Outside of sport, I love reading, cooking, getting outdoors and travelling. I enjoy exploring new places at a slower pace, and house sitting/dog walking feels like a lovely way to experience a new neighbourhood while enjoying a little slice of everyday local life, with the bonus of some furry company!

I’ve grown up with cats and dogs and have a cat of my own back home in New Zealand, whom I miss very much while living abroad. I also have professional animal care experience from working as an Animal Care Handler at Kelowna Pet Resort in Canada. I cared for both dogs and cats, including kittens and senior cats, and gained experience administering medication, following individual care routines and ensuring animals were safe, comfortable and happy. I’ve also completed numerous house sits and dog-walking jobs through Pawshake in New Zealand, so I understand the trust involved in caring for someone’s pets and home.

Dog walking: I offer one-hour walks around your local neighbourhood, giving your dog plenty of time to explore and enjoy some company.

House sitting: I’m available for both daytime sits, drop ins and overnight house sitting, providing care and companionship in your pet’s own familiar environment. This includes following their usual feeding and walking routines, administering medication if needed, keeping them company and making sure they feel safe and settled. I’ll also treat your home with care and respect, keep things tidy and provide regular updates and photos so you know how your pet is getting on. I understand the trust involved in having someone stay in your home and care for your pets, and I know how important it is to feel confident that both are in good hands. I’ll make sure your home is kept tidy and secure, your pets are happy and well cared for, and everything is left just as I found it.

I’m happy to care for all types of animals, from dogs and cats to smaller pets, and will always take the time to understand their individual needs and personalities. My schedule is flexible, and I’m happy to discuss your pet’s routine and care requirements in advance. For house sits, dogs should be comfortable being left alone for up to three hours at a time, as I may need leave for a coaching session or training. I’ll always plan around your pet’s needs as much as possible.
