I have always had a genuine love for dogs and really enjoy spending time caring for them. I have experience with dogs of all different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities, so I understand that every dog has their own individual needs. I also had my own dog for 13 years, which gave me plenty of hands-on experience with the responsibility, patience, care, and attention that dogs need. I would treat every dog in my care with the same love and kindness as I would my own.

When taking dogs for walks, I would always follow their normal routine as much as possible and choose walks that suit their age, fitness and energy level. I would keep them safely on the lead where appropriate, stay aware of other dogs, traffic and anything that could make them nervous or excited, and make sure they have plenty of opportunities to explore and enjoy their walk safely.

When caring for a dog, I would supervise them closely and make sure they are comfortable and secure, particularly in a new environment or overnight. I would follow any instructions from the owner regarding feeding, medication, behaviour, sleeping arrangements or anything else their dog needs. I would also keep owners updated so they can feel reassured that their dog is happy and being well cared for.

If an emergency or unexpected situation happened, I would stay calm, make sure the dog was safe and contact the owner straight away. If the dog was injured or became unwell and needed urgent attention, I would contact their vet or the nearest emergency vet and follow the owner’s emergency instructions. Their safety and wellbeing would always be my main priority.
