Hi, I’m Char!

I’m a huge dog person and, if I’m being completely honest, I’ll usually choose dogs over people! I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life and have plenty of experience looking after dogs of all ages, sizes and personalities.

I’ve cared for dogs for friends, family and neighbours and I’m comfortable with everything from energetic puppies who need plenty of play and exercise to older dogs who prefer a slower pace and lots of cuddles. I also have experience caring for dogs who need a little extra time, patience and attention.

I currently work and train in the film industry, which means my schedule can be a little unusual. Dog sitting and walking is a great fit for me because I genuinely love spending time with dogs and enjoy giving them the attention and care they deserve.

My own two dogs live with my parents, which means my home is currently dog-free. This allows me to offer one-to-one care in my own home, with no other dogs competing for attention. This can be particularly helpful for nervous, elderly or dogs who simply prefer having their own space.

I’m also lucky enough to live close to the Wicklow Mountains, so there are some fantastic walking spots nearby. For dogs who love a proper adventure, there are plenty of opportunities for exploring, sniffing and getting some exercise in beautiful surroundings. Of course, walks can always be tailored to your dog, whether they’re an energetic adventurer or prefer a gentle stroll around the neighbourhood.

When I look after your dog, my aim is to keep their normal routine as much as possible. I’ll stick to their usual feeding, walking and bedtime routines and make sure they get the same amount of exercise and attention they’re used to. I know that leaving your dog with someone else can be stressful, so I want them to feel safe, comfortable and settled while you’re away.

My own dogs are used to an adventurous life and enjoy everything from hiking and kayaking to SUP adventures and exploring new places. But they’re equally happy curled up on the sofa under a fluffy blanket with a treat or three!
