About Victoria
Dogs have always been a very special part of my life, and caring for them is something I genuinely love. I’ve grown up around dogs and have experience caring for a variety of breeds and personalities, including Cocker Spaniels, German Shepherds, Beagles, and Terrier mixes.
My biggest teacher was our beloved German Shepherd, Marley. After she was diagnosed with Degenerative Myelopathy, my family and I cared for her through every stage of her condition. We learned how to support her with a wheelchair, assist with mobility, express her bladder, keep her clean and comfortable, and adapt her routine as her needs changed. Most importantly, we made sure she felt safe, loved, and treated with dignity right through to the very end.
That experience taught me patience, responsibility, and the importance of paying attention to the small things that make a dog feel comfortable and secure. It also gave me valuable hands-on experience caring for senior dogs and dogs with additional mobility needs.
What you can expect from me:
I take the time to get to know each dog and follow their normal routine as closely as possible. Whether your dog is energetic and playful, nervous and needs extra reassurance, a senior who needs a slower pace, or simply loves cuddles and attention, I’ll tailor their care to their individual personality and needs.
Walks: I offer walks of approximately 30 minutes, 3 times per day, depending on your dog’s age, energy level and requirements. I’m happy to accommodate slower walks, toilet breaks, sniffing time, or dogs who need a gentler pace.
Home visits: Visits last approximately [30/60] minutes and can include feeding, fresh water, toilet breaks, playtime, cuddles and companionship. I’m also happy to follow specific instructions regarding your dog’s usual routine.
Daycare: I will only care for 2 dogs at a time(yours and our small terrier mix at home too) allowing me to give each dog plenty of individual attention.
Boarding & sleepovers: I aim to make dogs feel as relaxed as possible by maintaining their familiar routines, including feeding, walks and bedtime.
Medication & additional care: I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions and can provide oral medication when required. My experience with Marley also means I understand the extra patience and care that senior dogs or dogs with mobility difficulties may need.
I’ll also keep you updated while your dog is in my care, including photos/videos and morning/evening updates so you can have peace of mind knowing how they are doing.
Above all, I understand that leaving your dog with someone else is a big decision. My goal is to make your dog feel safe, happy and cared for, while giving you confidence that they are in loving and responsible hands.
If your dog has a particular routine, personality, medical requirement, or anything else I should know, I’m always happy to discuss it before booking. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any questions. I’d love to hear about your dog! 🐶❤️🐾
