I love animals of all kinds. Growing up, I always wanted to have a dog, but my parents would not let me 🤭 Now, as an adult, I love taking care of other people’s animals ❤️

It’s been 2 years since I started pet sitting and dog walking, and I absolutely love it. I always take the time to understand each pet’s personality, routine and needs. I know some pets are full of energy and ready to explore, while others need a little more patience, calm and space to feel comfortable.

I am a walker! I love going for walks every day, especially in the mornings, so I will always be happy to take your dog with me for fun days outside. My walks usually last between 30 minutes and 1 hour, depending on your dog’s age, energy level and usual routine. I always pay attention to their behaviour during walks and make sure they have enough time to explore, sniff and enjoy being outside.

I am a journalist who works from home in marketing. My work is part-time and I have a flexible schedule, so I organise my routine around the pets I’m taking care of, both dogs and cats. This means I can give them plenty of attention, keep an eye on them throughout the day and follow their feeding, walking and rest routines as closely as possible. At max a pet will be alone when staying with me for a maximum of 2h, which is usually when I have to run errands or buy some things in the City Centre.

I can sit up to 2 pets in my apartment, but I'll always make sure they go along well first, before accepting another pet. I have experience adminstrating medication and am more confortable with small to medium size dogs.

When caring for pets at home, I always try to make them feel safe and comfortable. I respect the owner’s instructions regarding food, walks, medication or any specific habits, and I am happy to send regular photos and updates so you know how your pet is doing.

In case of an emergency or if I notice any unusual behaviour, my priority is to stay calm, keep your pet safe and contact you immediately. I always make sure I have the owner’s emergency contact details and veterinary information available. If urgent care is needed and I cannot reach you straight away, I will seek veterinary help and keep you updated throughout the situation.

I live in a comfortable flat with my wife in Drumcondra, with lots of natural sunlight and a fenced garden at the back. We have a clean, organised and calm home, with plenty of space for pets to relax and feel comfortable.

For me, pet sitting is not just about feeding or walking your pet. I genuinely enjoy spending time with them, playing, giving them attention and making sure they feel cared for while their humans are away ❤️
