Hi! My name is Mélia and I've recently moved to Dublin. Since making the move, I've found myself with a bit of free time before and after work, and I'd love to spend some of it looking after your furry companions while you're away. My goal is simple: to give you peace of mind knowing your cat is well fed, well cared for, thoroughly admired, and getting plenty of playtime and attention until you're back home.

I'm also a bit of a plant enthusiast. I haven't built up my plant collection in Dublin yet (the scaffolding around my building has made me slightly nervous about committing to one!), so I'd be more than happy to keep your plants thriving alongside your cats.

I don't have pet-sitting experience in Dublin yet, so I'd really appreciate the opportunity to prove myself. What I do have is plenty of experience babysitting, which, if we're being honest, isn't entirely different. Cats are adorable babies, after all. In regards to babysitting, I've always had great relationships with the families I've worked with, and communication has consistently been one of my strengths. I'm reliable, responsive, and easy to reach. I get around by bus or on foot and, living in the city centre, I genuinely don't mind walking. I'm available every day and can arrange regular visits over longer periods if needed.

I grew up with several cats and still make a point of seeking out my grandmother's cats whenever I visit her. They don't always return my enthusiasm, but I persist.

I don't plan to host cats in my own flat, but I'd be delighted to visit and care for yours in the comfort of their own home. After all, cats tend to agree that their home is the best place in the world. Every cat is different, and I'm happy to adapt to their personality and routine. Whether your cat is a social butterfly who wants constant attention or a shy little creature who prefers to observe me from under the sofa for three visits before deciding I'm acceptable, I'll respect their boundaries and make sure they're comfortable. I can follow specific feeding schedules, administer oral medication if needed, and provide regular updates and photos so you always know how your cat is doing. Visits typically last around 30 minutes, though I'm happy to discuss longer visits if your cat enjoys extra company. In the unlikely event of an emergency, I'll contact you straight away and act according to your preferences. I'll also treat your home and keys with the same care I'd expect someone to show in mine, making sure everything is secure before I leave.
