Hi! I’m Karla, and I live in Dublin 7 with my husband Johnny and our little dog, Nena, a tiny and playful Jack Russell mix who is always ready for a new adventure! 🐾

I’ve loved animals, especially dogs, for as long as I can remember. I grew up surrounded by dogs and can’t imagine life without them. Over the years, I’ve also regularly minded friends’ dogs, which I absolutely love. I enjoy getting to know each dog’s personality, keeping them happy and entertained, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable while their humans are away. I also volunteer with the NSPCA, which has made my love for animals grow even stronger.

When your pup stays with us, they’ll be treated like part of the family, with plenty of love, attention, playtime and, of course, belly rubs! ❤️

We live in a peaceful, comfortable and dog-friendly apartment in Dublin 7. I'm at home full time, so your pup will have my full attention throughout the day. They’re welcome to make themselves at home, including curling up on the sofa or even having a nap on the bed! We also have a balcony where they can enjoy some fresh air and watch the world go by.

We’re lucky to be surrounded by fantastic places for walkies. Croppies Acre Memorial Park is right in front of our home, while Phoenix Park is less than 10 minutes away. Arbour Hill Memorial and Grangegorman Campus are also within walking distance, so there are plenty of opportunities for fun adventures and new smells!

During their stay, your pup can expect:

Because Nena is very small (under 4 kg), we currently prefer to welcome small to medium-sized dogs who are comfortable around other dogs. We’re happy to chat beforehand about your dog’s personality, routine and needs to make sure we’re a good match.

I usually take Nena for three walks a day, but I’m happy to adapt our routine to suit your pup’s needs, energy levels and usual schedule. Walkies are about more than just getting from A to B! Depending on what your pup enjoys, we can take our time exploring and sniffing around, have a little play, throw the ball, or simply enjoy a relaxed stroll and plenty of new smells.

I want every dog staying with us to feel comfortable, happy and at home, so I’m keeping things small and personal. For now, I’ll be caring for a maximum of two visiting dogs at a time, in addition to Nena, whether they’re staying with us for boarding or joining us for daycare. This means each pup gets plenty of attention, cuddles, playtime and one-on-one care. 

We know it can be hard to leave your furry family member behind, so we want to give you peace of mind while making sure they have a fun and loving stay. 🐾
