About me

My name is Jenny, I'm 45, and I've been a pet sitter for 25+ years. I grew up on a farm, always outside enjoying the company of my animal friends, and have always considered pets to be my family! 

I grew up with my beloved beagle for 17 years, three basset hounds, horses, donkeys, rabbits, sheep, and barn cats, and I've also worked with llamas. I've been a volunteer at various animal shelters so I'm comfortable and patient with shy animals.

I work from home, so I can be flexible around the best schedule for your pets. 

My home / services

I am happy to stay with your pets in your home where they are probably most comfortable. I am also happy to drive to collect your pets and return them back home, if you prefer that they stay in my home. I live in a detached house with a fully fenced garden, inside a small gated estate. There are no loose dogs nearby. I would only agree to book pets from the same household at one time, so your pet(s) would always feel comfortable.

While staying at my home, I will follow your preferences for their eating and sleeping arrangements. If you allow them to sleep on couches and/or beds, they will have four to choose from, including two in my very popular sun-filled conservatory! Pet guests especially enjoy watching the birds from my conservatory windows. I also have a couch in my home office for those who want to be close by when I'm working.

I live in a very central location, near the border of Co. Roscommon and Co. Longford (<500m to lovely walks along the Royal Canal and the River Shannon). I have a brilliant vet nearby, but I do require your vet's contact details (though I pray we'll will never need to contact them!).

I do not have children or any pets of my own currently, so your pets would have my full attention. I will keep you updated as much or as little as you would prefer, with texts, pictures, and/or videos, etc. My goal is to give you and your pets a stress-free holiday.

I'm always grateful for the opportunity to spend time with animals and fellow animal lovers, so I look forward to getting to know you and your pets. I would prefer to meet you and your pets before booking to make sure you all are comfortable with me. It is important to discuss normal eating/sleeping/walking behaviours so I can reinforce your preferred routines and manners. I understand how stressful it can be to find a pet sitter so I will do everything I can to make the process easier for you.
