My name is Laura! I have just returned from travelling and am currently living in Kilkenny. I am a volunteer with the DSPCA and feel very privileged to say that. I've gained a lot of skills through volunteering - handling, feeding, walking, administering medications but most importantly spending time with all kinds of dogs and giving them some TLC 🐕

While travelling I also volunteered in dog and cat shelters in Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand. I learned so much from the amazing work these shelters do and gained a lot of skills in helping dogs and cats. I am confident in working with dogs from happy/socialble all the way up to nervous/reactive.

I am a qualified nurse. My main interest is animals; this includes spending time with them and caring for them ❤️ Growing up I always had a dog in my family home and am very grateful for the friends and characters I've met along the way! I have previously looked after dogs and cats when I lived in Dublin before travelling. I've met a lot of different sizes and personalities! I've also previously fostered a cat from DSPCA and am grateful for that opportunity to learn and develop my skills looking after cats too 😃
