Hi, I'm Mark, I'm located in Castleknock, right beside Phoenix Park. I have always had animals in my life, and I have had to care for them as family pets or working companions. I have had several dogs and cats of my own, and have even raised some from the moment they were born to the moment they passed, so I know how cherished our pets are to us; they are family, and any service I offer is with that in mind first and foremost.

It is common for pets needing individual care to be nervous or have some form of behavioural issue. I am experienced in managing dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and meeting their individual needs with patience and kindness. I have experience with working dog breeds like sheepdogs, and larger dogs that need a confident and physical handler.

Services

Walking

Walks are typically a minimum of 30 minutes, but generally take an hour. If your dog needs a shorter walk, I am happy to either spend time playing with them or drop them home. Unless it is in a designated dog park, I walk every dog on leash after 11am. Walking off leash past this time can incur a fine. I can pick them up and drop them off, making sure they are walked somewhere fun, safe and spacious enough for them to get the exercise they need. I cover the following areas for walks: D6W, D8, D10, D12, D15, D20.

Sitting

Working remotely allows me greater flexibility to travel around the city, so don't hesitate to make a request due to distance.

My aim for each sit is to make sure your pet feels safe and cared for. I know it can be stressful for animals with a favourite person or anxiety to be apart from their family. I take it as my responsibility to help them feel safe and loved in your absence, and I am happy to give however many cuddles or play sessions they need for this.

What's included in the sit:

• Two walks a day, or some form of exercise your dog enjoys
• Basic grooming, like washes and brushing
• Administration of any medication needed — I have ample experience with this
• Close attention to any special dietary requirements you bring to my attention
• Meet and greets, if you're nearby — feel free to request this and we can see if it can be arranged
• A detailed run-through of your pet's needs, routine and quirks before the sit begins
• As many updates as you need while you're away, to help you feel at ease
• Basic housekeeping; I do not smoke or drink

Drop-in visits

These are a minimum of 30 minutes. We can arrange longer drop-ins for different rates. I will make sure to refill food and water bowls and administer any medication needed. I always aim to spend as much quality time with your pet as possible, whether that be playtime, a quick walk or cuddles.
