I’ve grown up with animals and have plenty of hands-on experience caring for them. I had two dogs growing up — Jessie, a gentle rescue Collie, and Lilly, a playful pup I got from a neighbour whose dog had a litter. Lilly was like a best friend to me; she’d join me on runs, walks, and even swims, and would sit at my feet while I studied. I also helped care for the neighbour’s dogs while they were away, and even cleaned their house regularly as a teen. I also had a rabbit and a budgie — being an only child, my pets were truly my companions.

As an adult, I’ve continued to pet-sit for friends. I’ve cared for a Bichon Frisé named Wilson and helped look after Nellie, a sweet family dog I lived with — feeding, walking, and cuddling were all part of my daily routine! I also helped out with two dogs while living in New Zealand, where my friends had a baby and I did what I could to lend a hand. More recently, I fostered a beautiful desert mix called Claire in Abu Dhabi and even helped care for a tortoise while visiting Dubai!

I genuinely love caring for animals and would absolutely have a pet of my own if I wasn’t moving around so much. In the meantime, it brings me so much joy to help others by giving their pets lots of love and attention.
