About Simon
I come from a family of dog lovers and have grown up looking after both my own, and the animals of my family. I am 34 years old and I moved to Dublin two years ago. I really enjoy the regular contact of looking after dogs. I offer dog walking and dog boarding and live around 100 metres from a Marlay Park enterance. A great area for me to walk your dog when they stay with me. I also can travel to you - to take your dog for walks. I am happy to visit your dog at your home if they require some company, or to be fed and watered, or let out when you are unable to do so. My availability is generally flexible. I have particular extensive breed experience with Pugs, Bichon Frise, Labrador, Vizsla and Alsatians. I don't exclude any breed as I love all types.
I recently received a distinction on my level 5 animal welfare course (see my certificate in my profile pics). I have a calm and kind approach to dog handling and I am a firm believer in rewarding positive behaviour. I do not believe in disciplinary techniques. I very much enjoy walking, exercising dogs and having them to stay at my good sized apartment in Ballinteer. I do insist on a first meet and greet in a convenient dog walking area. This is so that I can get to understand your dogs outdoor needs and level of social skills.

If a meet and greet outside goes well - I will invite you to my apartment for you and your dog to view where they will stay and to feel familiar on arrival for a stay.
Although I can help with occasional walks and visits if that's what you need. I prefer to offer your dog the benefits of regular contact - to allow them to build trust in me and to fully enjoy to our time, and of course for me to benefit from a little regular doggy bonding. Simon took care of our lab for almost a week. We had a great holiday, but I think she may even have had a better time than us. Simon and his partner took her out on many adventures and she even enjoyed a trip to Wicklow. They took great care and Simon sent us regular updates. I can’t recommend him enough. They were great.
Simon is amazing. So sweet and lovely to our 2 dogs who get very excited and super reliable. Would absolutely recommend him if you need your pet walked!
