For pet parents, one of the hardest things about going to work each day is wondering what your dog will get up to while you are gone. At Pawshake, we understand that dogs need activity and interaction during the day, so why not book your dog with one of our trusted sitters in Balbriggan for a doggy day care service? You can drop your dog off at the sitter’s home on the way to work or organise with your local Balbriggan Pawshake sitter to pick up and drop off your dog for you.

Pet day care is a great way to keep your dog mentally and physically active during the day so that you can come home to a happy, relaxed dog. Pawshake’s home day care service is great for young dogs who need constant supervision: puppy daycare allows your pup to maintain a consistent routine, which is important during the toilet training process. It’s also a great option for dogs who need extra care and attention, or those who are extra active.

Our sitters who offer doggy day care and puppy daycare services are more adaptable than your average big day care centre. Numbers are kept small and some Pawshake sitters will only take in one dog at a time. This means they can work around your timing and any special requirements your dog may have. So, let your four-legged best friend enjoy their day with a fun and loving Balbriggan sitter who will shower them with love and dedicated attention. On top of that, you will also get photos and updates during the day so that you can follow your dog’s day care adventures!

Every day care booking also comes included with The Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer service support 7 days a week and more.

We are a family run dog walking and daycare, with overnight boarding also available. Have your dog cared for while you're working by a family with 20+ years dog boarding and training. Based in the north Fingal area between Lusk and Skerries. Everyone involved has a huge passion for dogs and the core of it is giving all dogs a happier day to day however we can.
Daycare dogs have a well fenced very large garden with many toys and a pool during warmer weather, as well as access to our family kitchen for when the weathers not so nice. The dogs are under constant supervision and are never alone while with us. They are crates for feeding but other than that they roam free. Many people also choose daycare for dogs who need socialisation, we provide a calm environment with space to separate if your dog needs some time to cool off as well as 20+ years of experience with many different personalities. Dogs are usually collected between 8:30 and 9:30am and dropped home between 4:30 and 6pm, however these hours are flexible.
Walk times are generally arranged based on your schedule and dogs are collected and dropped home after. Walks usually last approximately an hour and can be done with groups or solo depending on your dogs needs

Providing walking and sitting for dogs from one family at a time in Donabate and surrounding area. Life long love of animals.I'm full time at home and my three children are in school so I have plenty of time to provide one-on-one attention to your pet. I provide stays in my home for child friendly dogs in a family environment also. Your dog will be the only pet in our house during their stay .I have a medium sized well fenced back garden with grass. We don't own a pet of our own yet, but we are well experienced with pets, and I grew up in a house with a champion trained dog who did Kennel Club competitions! The dogs that stay in our house become a part of our family, and the sleeping arrangement depends on the dog . Our estate is adjacent to an estuary park and walks are convenient no matter the weather. We also like to walk in Newbridge Park and the beaches too. Dogs are welcome in our car for drop offs and pick ups too.

Looking for a dependable pet sitter who will care for your pet as if they were their own?

Dear pet owner,
I am writing to express my interest in the pet-sitting position. As someone who has had a dog my entire life, and with experience caring for cats and geckos, I feel well-equipped to provide loving, reliable, and attentive care to a variety of pets.
Having grown up with dogs, I am very familiar with their needs, from daily walks to understanding their behavior and emotional cues. I've also had the pleasure of minding several cats, who have all shown how much they love and trust me. Additionally, I care for my 2-year-old gecko, ensuring she thrives in her environment and lives her best life.
I pride myself on being responsible, communicative, and dedicated, ensuring every pet under my care receives the best treatment. I would love the opportunity to bring this passion and experience to your clients, and I am confident that I can meet their pets' needs with care and compassion.
Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to mind your pet.
Sincerely,
Jason

Hi there! My name is Natalia and I am an absolute animal lover living here in Ireland. I have lifelong, continuous experience caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and life stages. Throughout my life as a dedicated pet owner, I have gained extensive hands-on experience raising energetic puppies as well as managing the specialized care required for senior dogs. I am fully competent in maintaining strict medication routines, administering oral treatments safely, and adapting to the slower pace and specific health needs of older pets.

I offer personalized pet-sitting services, which include active daily walks, plenty of playtime, and lots of cuddles. A standard walk usually lasts around 45 to 60 minutes, but I always adapt to your pet's energy level. Having handled various temperaments over the years, I am very confident practicing basic training experience (such as enforcing commands like sit, stay, and recall) and handling separation anxiety with gentle, patient reassurance.

I live in a large, clean, and very comfortable house with a spacious backyard. As selected in my profile details, safety is my absolute priority: my garden is fully fenced, completely enclosed, and secure with no open areas, making it the perfect and safest space for pets to run around and play freely. Even with a secure, fully fenced yard, I always closely supervise the pets while they are outside to ensure they are 100% safe at all times.

Furthermore, because of my flexible schedule, your pet will never be left alone for long periods; someone is almost always at home, and pets are never left unattended for more than 1 to 2 hours maximum. I am fully prepared for handling emergencies; I always request the contact details of your preferred local vet beforehand, know the way to the nearest emergency clinic, and keep a pet first-aid kit at home. I am fully committed to sending you regular photo updates so you can have complete peace of mind. I look forward to welcoming your wonderful pet into my home!
