For pet parents, one of the hardest things about going to work each day is wondering what your dog will get up to while you are gone. At Pawshake, we understand that dogs need activity and interaction during the day, so why not book your dog with one of our trusted sitters in Newbridge for a home day care service? You can drop your dog off at the sitter’s home on the way to work or organise with your local Newbridge Pawshake sitter to pick up and drop off your dog for you.

Pet day care is a great way to keep your dog mentally and physically active during the day so that you can come home to a happy, relaxed dog. Pawshake’s home day care service is great for young dogs who need constant supervision: puppy daycare allows your pup to maintain a consistent routine, which is important during the toilet training process. It’s also a great option for dogs who need extra care and attention, or those who are extra active.

Our sitters who offer home day care and puppy daycare services are more adaptable than your average big day care centre. Numbers are kept small and some Pawshake sitters will only take in one dog at a time. This means they can work around your timing and any special requirements your dog may have. So, let your four-legged best friend enjoy their day with a fun and loving Newbridge sitter who will shower them with love and dedicated attention. On top of that, you will also get photos and updates during the day so that you can follow your dog’s day care adventures!

Every day care booking also comes included with The Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer service support 7 days a week and more.

Hi! My name is Giorgi, I am an avid dog lover who recently moved from Dublin into the countryside of Kildare. I'd love to own 100 dogs but for now I just have my girl, Ffion. I have always owned dogs, from small Maltese, to a Japanese Akita, and now I have Ffion who is a Dogo Argentino. I've had a lot of experience minding dogs in the past with a range of breeds from small to large, such as Border Collie, Springer Spaniel, Tibetin Mastiff, Cockapoo, Malamute and French Bulldog.
I have certificates in Animal Care and Dog Psychology, and have a huge interest in dog training which I have done extensive research, so I am very familiar with dog behaviours and I can provide the best care for your pup.
If you are looking for someone to look after your pooch, then I am perfect! We have a cosy home with just under an acre of garden which is fully fenced. My husband and I both work from home so there is always someone here to look after your dog in the week. Your pooch will get all the cuddles, play and fuss when they stay with me. Whether you have a calm pup or a high energy pooch, I can cater for any type of dog and meet your dogs needs.
What does a typical stay look like?
On a weekday, there would be an early morning wake up and play outside in the large grassy area. While I am working from home your dog can sleep and relax during the day, and I will do regular check ins and playtime/cuddles throughout the day. Then in the evenings even more playtime and unlimited attention. I can feed your pup at requested times to match their regular routine at home.
At the weekends and summer evenings, we are close by to many forest and nature walks where I can take your pup out for a long walk.
Where will your dog sleep?
We can accomodate to your pup's needs and let them sleep where they would be most comfortable inside our house. Either in their own bed in a spare room, with us in our bedroom where our dog also sleeps. We also have crates of all sizes if your pup likes to have an enclosed safe space to sleep.
If your dog is nervous, I am more than happy to keep them away from my dog at all times. There is plenty of space for your pup to have a safe and calm environment on their own if they would prefer. Although my girl is a big friendly giant who loves to hang out with other dogs! Apart from the rare case of the zoomies, she is generally a very relaxed (dare I say lazy!) big goof who sleeps most of the day.

Feel free to drop me a message if you have any questions, and I hope to see you and your pooch soon!

Hi, I'm Abhishek, and I live in Kildare in a comfortable 3-bedroom home with a secure, enclosed garden. I'm passionate about providing a safe, calm, and welcoming environment where your dog can feel at home while you're away.I currently offer dog boarding and doggy day care on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. To ensure every dog receives my full attention and care, I only accept one dog at a time. This allows me to focus on your pet's individual needs and provide a relaxed, stress-free experience.Your dog's wellbeing is my priority. I provide up to three walks a day (15-20 minutes each), plenty of playtime, companionship, fresh water, regular feeding according to your instructions, and lots of love and attention. I'll also keep you updated with messages and photos so you can enjoy your time away with peace of mind.Someone will always be at home to supervise your dog. If I know the house will be empty for any period, I simply won't accept bookings for those dates. This means your dog will never be left alone during their stay. For the safety and comfort of all pets, I only accept vaccinated, well-socialised dogs. I am unable to accommodate aggressive dogs, very large breeds, or very young puppies. If you're looking for a reliable, caring, and attentive weekend dog minder in Kildare, I'd be delighted to welcome your dog into my home and treat them like one of the family.I look forward to meeting you and your four-legged friend!

Hello! My name is Lauren, and I’m a 28-year-old experienced dog boarder based in the Curragh, Co. Kildare. My Partner Jack is also an experienced dog minder who also lives here looking after all the doggos
We used to volunteer in dog shelters for years so we are very experienced with all types of different dogs and dogs who may be more nervous than others!
We offer home-based dog boarding where your dog will be cared for like one of the family — no kennels, just a safe, warm, and loving environment.
We are fully insured!
All dogs stay inside our home at night and receive one-to-one care and attention throughout their stay. Whether your dog enjoys the company of other dogs or prefers their own space, we will tailor their experience to suit their personality. Friendly dogs are welcome to play with my own well-socialised dogs, while those who prefer quiet time will have their own space to relax comfortably.
Every dog gets plenty of playtime in our large indoor sand arena, a secure and fun space for running, playing, and burning off energy (expect your dog to come home happy and tired!)
We can provide dry food and wet food, but if your dog has any specific dietary needs or preferred food, please bring it along. All you need to pack is your dog’s own bed or blanket, as familiar smells help them settle quickly and feel at home.
With years of experience, including volunteering in a dog shelter, I’ve looked after a huge variety of breeds and temperaments, many of whom are now regular returning guests. We send daily updates with photos and videos via WhatsApp, so you can relax knowing your dog is well cared for.

If your dog likes walks he or she can be walked on the Curragh daily
If you have any questions or would like to check availability, feel free to get in touch — We would love to hear from you!
