For pet parents, one of the hardest things about going to work each day is wondering what your dog will get up to while you are gone. At Pawshake, we understand that dogs need activity and interaction during the day, so why not book your dog with one of our trusted sitters in Laytown for a home day care service? You can drop your dog off at the sitter’s home on the way to work or organise with your local Laytown Pawshake sitter to pick up and drop off your dog for you.

Pet day care is a great way to keep your dog mentally and physically active during the day so that you can come home to a happy, relaxed dog. Pawshake’s home day care service is great for young dogs who need constant supervision: puppy daycare allows your pup to maintain a consistent routine, which is important during the toilet training process. It’s also a great option for dogs who need extra care and attention, or those who are extra active.

Our sitters who offer home day care and puppy daycare services are more adaptable than your average big day care centre. Numbers are kept small and some Pawshake sitters will only take in one dog at a time. This means they can work around your timing and any special requirements your dog may have. So, let your four-legged best friend enjoy their day with a fun and loving Laytown sitter who will shower them with love and dedicated attention. On top of that, you will also get photos and updates during the day so that you can follow your dog’s day care adventures!

Every day care booking also comes included with The Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer service support 7 days a week and more.

Hi, I am Nathalia and my husband and I know how important is to have a pet loving person and safe place to leave our 4 paws baby Bertie (6 years old Springer Spaniel, neutered) when we travel.
I volunteer in a Rescue Center 1 day a week and look after my friend's dogs when they need. I have no kids and decided that I also can look after other dogs as they deserve the best treatment and being spoiled while on holidays (yes, when you are on holidays, they are also on their holidays).
I work from home, rarely leaving the house for more than 1h. Bertie (my dog) and I have a routine of waking up early for the first 15 min walk and food, breaks for garden time, second 15min walk in the evening followed by food again and garden before go to bed.
The dogs can enjoy the fully walled garden as much as they like. There is also a conservatory with camera and a dog house. They are very welcome to the sofas. I would say they normally prefer staying in my office watching the street or sleeping on the sofa while I am working.
I groom and shower my dog, I also do some basic training using nice biscuits (wait and come, sit, give the paw). I would love to extend my services for your 4Paws.
I can give exclusivity to 2 more dogs at a time as I prefer not leaving them alone.
Night time they sleep in their bed in the kitchen. We really like routine.
Feel free to contact me if you need me!

Hi I'm Aisling, We are a dog crazy household and love meeting new dogs and taking care of them! We have two dogs of our own, Gino is a 4 year old springer/maltese and Tommy is a 3 year old yorkie mix. They both love other dogs and children! We also have two small humans who are obsessed with dogs! Being dog owners ourselves we understand the importance of having your dogs looked after the same way they would be at home. Your dog will be cared for as if they are our own, and will be given as much or as little cuddles as they wish. I will also provide plenty of updates throughout their stay! We will follow your dogs daily walking and feeding routine. We live in walking distance to 2 vets in the event of any unlikely emergency!

As we have two small children and our own dogs, it is important your dog is comfortable around children and dogs. We also can only take small to medium sized dogs. All dogs must be neutered and vaccines up to date. We look forward to having them stay with us

Now that we have our treasured Skye, we realise how important it is knowing she is being well looked after whenever we are away. Myself and my wife have had her nearly three years now and she has brought nothing but fun and happiness! Love taking her on long walks during the day and chilling in front of the fire in the evenings. She gets the best of care and we would look to do the same for any dog that sent to us.Looking to take any dogs as long as they are house trained and neutered (males). Small / medium sized dogs would be preferable. Living in a bungalow in the country with a garden that is well set up for any lodgers Both of us work from home so there will always be someone in the house while dogsitting and we are both extremely active who love nothing more than a nice long walk! Our own dog Skye gets on well with almost all dogs but obviously a meet and greet first would always be preferable for newbies. Looking forward to hearing from you

You can tell me what you and your pet need. You can expect receiving pictures and live updates from your friend during its time on board. My house is 24h heated, there are enough space, dog beds and fresh water around the house so the dog can feel comfortable everywhere. My name is Lucas, and I run a Petsitter in Balbriggan (just 15 minutes from Dublin Airport) — a safe, structured, and home-based environment designed for dogs

I work and study from home full-time, which allows me to supervise the dogs throughout the day and ensure they are safe, comfortable, and well cared for at all times.

Dogs stay in a shared home environment and must be friendly, sociable, and comfortable around other dogs. My French Bulldog, Rayka, lives in the house and is calm, well-socialised, and used to welcoming new dogs.

Our daily routine is structured to provide a balance of activity and rest. Dogs have regular access to a large, fully fenced and secure garden where they can play, explore, and interact safely.

We also provide supervised group play sessions during the day, along with calm periods to help dogs settle comfortably.

All exercise takes place within the secure home and garden environment, allowing us to maintain a controlled and safe space for all dogs.

For additional safety, all dogs are fitted with an AirTag upon arrival, providing real-time location tracking

Requirements :

To ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all dogs, the following requirements apply:

• A trial session is mandatory for all new dogs. Dogs will be assessed to ensure their behaviour matches the environment and house rules.
• Dogs must be 100% friendly and comfortable around other dogs.
• Dogs must be fully house-trained.
• Dogs must not chew furniture, doors, or household items.
• Male dogs must not mark territory inside the home.

I look forward to welcoming your dog and providing them with a safe, calm, and well-managed stay

Dear pet owner,
I am writing to express my interest in the pet-sitting position. As someone who has had a dog my entire life, and with experience caring for cats and geckos, I feel well-equipped to provide loving, reliable, and attentive care to a variety of pets.
Having grown up with dogs, I am very familiar with their needs, from daily walks to understanding their behavior and emotional cues. I've also had the pleasure of minding several cats, who have all shown how much they love and trust me. Additionally, I care for my 2-year-old gecko, ensuring she thrives in her environment and lives her best life.
I pride myself on being responsible, communicative, and dedicated, ensuring every pet under my care receives the best treatment. I would love the opportunity to bring this passion and experience to your clients, and I am confident that I can meet their pets' needs with care and compassion.
Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to mind your pet.
Sincerely,
Jason

Hi all,Not pets in this house.
I've been dog sitting for friends and family for a long time and recently I've been sitting a few dogs through recommendations. So for this reason I have decided to post on this platform.
I have fostered 20 plus dogs and pups and have found it to be rewarding and fulfilling.
I enjoy a dogs company and as we don't have a pet in our house your dog would get all the attention so there would be no need to worry about them fitting in with other dogs. It would soley be your dog/s staying.
I work part time (short hours over 3 days) so there is very little time a dog would be left on their own.
We are an easy going house but would follow your instructions.
We are not phased by any breed, shape or sized dog.
Our garden is medium sized and secure.
Your dog would be well looked after so you wouldn't have to worry when your away.
Your dog would always be kept indoors at night and both my teens love dogs too.
We are on the Dublin, Meath and Louth border and only 25 minutes away from Dublin Airport..
