About Me

Hi, I’m Emer  I work hybrid Monday to Friday, which means I’m home a good portion of the week to spend time with our dog, Winnie. I live with my partner, and together we share a love of animals. Growing up, I was surrounded by dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, and ducks, so caring for animals has always been a part of my life.

I have over 15 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages — from playful puppies to wise seniors. I’m confident supporting dogs with additional needs, including those who require medication. I also have experience with basic training, including lead walking and core obedience commands, helping to build confidence and trust.

When I take in dogs, I make sure I can be home with them — meaning your pet will have 24/7 supervision, attention, and care.




Our Home

We live in a cosy two-bedroom cottage in Donadea, with a secure gated entrance, a large enclosed garden, and a spacious yard. The garden has plenty of shrubs and trees, which Winnie treats as her own personal obstacle course!

We’re lucky to be near some wonderful walking spots — Donadea Forest, the canal Greenway, and Castletown House &amp; Gardens — so your dog will enjoy plenty of fresh air and adventure during their stay.

If your dog stays overnight, they’re welcome to sleep in the kitchen or sitting room, either in their own bed or crate (whatever they’re most comfortable with).

I also mind dogs in their own home and find this is the least disruptive to the dog's routine. 

I can provide a pick up and drop of service also if you want to add that option to your booking.

A Few Notes

 For everyone’s safety, all dogs must be up to date on vaccinations and comfortable around another dog (our Winnie).
 I only take one guest dog at a time, so your pet has my full attention and plenty of space.
 A meet &amp; greet can be arranged beforehand so you and your dog feel at ease.

Hi! I'm Niamh, and I'm a big animal lover who has recently returned from Canada, where I was working as the manager of a busy doggy daycare. During my time there, I cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities and formed really close bonds with all of them.&nbsp;
I'm confident with all types of dogs and always aim to make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and happy when they're with me.&nbsp;
10 years ago, I adopted my dog, Betty, so I understand the additional needs a rescue dog may need. Betty has been through a lot in her life, from an accident that required her to learn how to walk again, to getting one of her eyes removed 6 years ago. Through these times, I helped Betty to get better through care and patience. She needs eye drops in her eye every night for the rest of her life, so I am used to administering these as well.
I also adopted a cat, Miss Maggie, in Canada, so I understand the care and attention cats need, and I'm very comfortable doing home visits to feed, check in, and spend time with them in the comfort of their own environment.
I always aim to make pets feel comfortable and relaxed while their pawrents are away, following their usual routine so that everything feels normal and stress-free for them. I also understand how important it is for their pawrents to feel reassured, so I will always send pics and updates so you can see how your pet is doing and feel connected while you're away.
As I've just returned to Ireland, I currently have full flexibility to fit around your schedule and needs.&nbsp;


Hello!My name is Lauren, and I’m a 28-year-old experienced dog boarder based in the Curragh, Co. Kildare. My Partner Jack is also an experienced dog minder who also lives here looking after all the doggos 
We used to volunteer in dog shelters for years so we are very experienced with all types of different dogs and dogs who may be more nervous than others! 
We offer&nbsp;home-based dog boarding&nbsp;where your dog will be cared for like one of the family — no kennels, just a safe, warm, and loving environment.
We are fully insured! 
All dogs stay&nbsp;inside our home at night&nbsp;and receive&nbsp;one-to-one care and attention&nbsp;throughout their stay. Whether your dog enjoys the company of other dogs or prefers their own space, we will tailor their experience to suit their personality. Friendly dogs are welcome to play with my own well-socialised dogs, while those who prefer quiet time will have their own space to relax comfortably.
Every dog gets&nbsp;plenty of playtime&nbsp;in our large indoor sand arena, a secure and fun space for running, playing, and burning off energy (expect your dog to come home happy and tired!)
We can provide&nbsp;dry food and wet food, but if your dog has any&nbsp;specific dietary needs&nbsp;or preferred food, please bring it along. All you need to pack is your dog’s&nbsp;own bed or blanket, as familiar smells help them settle quickly and feel at home.
With years of experience, including volunteering in a dog shelter, I’ve looked after a&nbsp;huge variety of breeds and temperaments, many of whom are now regular returning guests. We send&nbsp;daily updates with photos and videos&nbsp;via WhatsApp, so you can relax knowing your dog is well cared for.
We are also a very experienced horse people and have experience with all types of animals! 
Please note:&nbsp;We book up quickly, so we recommend reaching out early to avoid disappointment. If you’d like reassurance, many of my lovely repeat clients are happy to provide references.
We only take one family of dogs or one individual dog at a time, I have my own dogs at home also but if you dog doesn't like other dogs that's no problem they can be kept seperate! 
Lauren works from home full time so will be with your dog 24/7
If your dog likes walks he or she can be walked on the Curragh daily

Please note you must declare everything about your dog before there stay, if your dog has ever been aggressive towards people or other dogs previously or there is a possibility that they might be, please let us know before they stay! We are not in a position to offer a refund if your dog needs to be collected due to aggression.

Our family is accustomed to all manner of critters, big and small, and have varied experience in  caring for a large range of animals.My husband works from home most days, and I am home with our two little doggies all day, so your furbaby will never be left alone.&nbsp;For the comfort of your pooch, we only accept boarding bookings for one dog (two from the same household) at a time.  This way your pooch will have our undivided attention.&nbsp;&nbsp;We have a large house and garden in a rural setting where your pooch has the freedom to enjoy a safe and secure indoor and outdoor space as they wish and go on lovely strolls down our quiet lane.&nbsp;&nbsp;Your pooch will sleep besides our two in the kitchen/living area in whichever manner they are used to.All dogs should be microchipped, fully vaccinated and house trained, with the exeption of puppies&nbsp; of course.&nbsp;Please note that long term boarding bookings will only be accepted after one successul day care booking or a successful meet and greet to ensure that your your pup is comfortable and happy to stay for a prolonged period.We all look forward to welcoming your pups into our home.

Hi there! My names Siobhan and I am 21 years old and pets are my life. I have always had pets in my home ever since I was born. In July 2024 I house sat for a dog and 6 cats for 4 days and handled all situations perfectly. I have had 3 dogs and 7 cats in my house at once when I was 16 and loved the company. I have handled kittens and puppies and know how to care for them. I have a full license so I am able to travel at a cost if far. I am a student in Limerick at the moment so during term time I am only available for weekends in Kildare or during the week in Limerick. I am gentle, patient and understanding to all animals. I live by the canal so I am very used to walking my dogs regularly and at long distances. I am a fast learner and eager to learn about all of your lovely pets. I can pop in whenever I can to feed your lovely animals and make sure they are happy and safe. I cannot do overnight stays. 

I am 36 and I grew up on a farm. I have always loved animals. Living in the country and I have a blind cat that does not appreciate dogs so I started dog walking to fill the void. I also own 3 pet pigs and up until recently lots of chickens. I have a lifetime of experience thanks to many pets such as; dogs, cats, pigs, cows, chickens, fish and rabbits. I currently walk one rescue dog in Maynooth and would love to walk more or just visit some doggies. I am available for 30 to 60 minute walks in any weather as I believe there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing!
