Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Shannon home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Shannon.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Shannon home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Dealing with animals comes easily for me. I am very affectionate, pay attention, detail-oriented and can undestand and follow instructions.
I offter invigorating one-hour walks in the morning, afternoon, or evening, Ensuring your dog enjoys both mental and physical stimulation, let's turn their time away from home inti an exciting adventure filled with exercise, exploration, and genuine care.
To ensure we're a great match, consider scheduling a meet up where we can chat and get to know each other better.

Hi, my name is Juan. I’m originally from Chile and I have been living in Ireland for about 10 months. I grew up in the countryside in Chile surrounded by animals, which helped me develop a very natural connection with them from a young age.

In my home in Chile we have several animals. Inside the house we have two French Bulldogs that require more delicate care and attention. We also have two large dogs, a Labrador and a Newfoundland. Because of this, I am very comfortable caring for both small dogs and large breeds. We also have cats and rabbits, so I am used to understanding the different personalities and needs of many types of pets.

Before moving to Limerick, I spent more than a month traveling around Europe while caring for pets in different homes. During that time I looked after dogs and cats with different needs, including cats with cardiovascular conditions that required extra care and calm environments. I also cared for a pair of older dogs whose activity and diet had to be carefully managed, as well as a French Bulldog and a Yorkie through a house-sitting platform.

I currently live in Limerick and work in a hotel that has a farm, where I am responsible for taking care of the animals. This allows me to work with animals every day and gives me even more practical experience.

When caring for dogs in Limerick, I always adapt the walks and activities to each dog’s age, energy level, and routine. Walks usually last between 30 and 60 minutes depending on the dog’s needs. My priority is always that the pet feels safe, calm, and well cared for.

I also have knowledge of pet first aid and basic CPR, which helps me react quickly and responsibly in case of an emergency. I always keep owners updated with messages and photos so they feel confident and relaxed while they are away.

I consider myself responsible, calm, and very attentive with animals. I naturally build trust with them and enjoy making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and happy.

Hello my name is Natalia, I'm 37 and from Limerick. I've been working as a pet sitter for the last two years. I am a big animal lover. Cats and dogs are my faves but I really love all animals! I currently have a dog and two cats. The dog is our family pet but the two cats belong to me ️
I have grown up with animals and have always had cats and dogs as pets/fur babies! I love getting to know animals and their different personalities. I'm very patient with them and used to different temperaments etc.
I have done some pet sitting abroad with my parents, for both cats and dogs so I have a lot of experience already
I would love to take great care of your pet for you - you can count on me to be there for your pet as if it was my own and I can send you photos/videos of how they are doing and can send you updates through text
I live in Limerick city, so I can travel anywhere within Limerick as long as it is on the bus route. I can feed your pet, walk your dog, clean up after them - if needed. Can also play with them and just keep them company any additional services like administering medicine, or giving injections is fine also.
I'm also available week days or weekends to stay with your pet if you're going to be away on holidays.
Reviews listed below!
Don't hesitate to get in touch - I'll look forward to chatting with you.
Bye for now,
Natalia

We had Natalia dog sit our greyhound over Christmas and we couldn’t have been happier with the service. Birdie can be a little bit of a weirdo and has her own routines but Natalia was able to master her in a short amount or time. Birdie gets stressed out very easily but we could tell when we got home she was as relaxed as ever and probably hadn’t even noticed we were gone. We were also grateful to get update pictures while we were on holiday. Would definitely recommend and will be booking again in the future! Alexandra Van der line

Natalia recently took care of our two dogs and
one cat. It is so clear to see that she is so fond
of animals. She is so kind and gentle with them.
Getting a pet minder is like getting a babysitter,
when you get the right one, you can go away
with peace of mind. I have no hesitation in
recommending her. I wish her all the best in her
new venture and will be calling on her again in the near future. Thanks, Julia

Natalia looked after my 2
precious fur babies, Diesel and
Suzy while I was away. I didn't
worrv about them at all cause I
knew they were in good hands.
She sent me regular photos an
videos and they looked very
comfortable and relaxed with
her. They are very shy cats so l
was surprised to see how thev
were so relaxed and curious. I
would highly recommend Natalia
to care for your fur babies as
you're guaranteed the will be
well looked after. Thank you
Natalia for treating my 2 cats as if they were your own. Deirdre.

Suzie had a great time with Natalia. If
you need someone to mind your pet this is a
fantastic service that I 100 per cent recommend.
Natalia looked after her very well and they are now great friends. Mick Dolan.

Passionate Dog Lover Ready to Care for Your Furry Friend!

Dogs have always been a special part of my life, and my love for them inspired me to become a dedicated pet sitter. I find joy in providing them with care, companionship, and a safe, loving environment while their owners are away.

My experience with dogs began in India, where I spent a year caring for various breeds, ensuring their well-being through regular walks, feeding, and playtime. This hands-on experience taught me how to understand different canine personalities, recognize their needs, and build trust with them.

As a responsible and affectionate pet sitter, I prioritize a dog’s happiness and comfort, treating them like family. Whether it’s an energetic pup needing extra exercise or a senior dog requiring gentle care, I adapt to their needs. My goal is to give pet owners peace of mind, knowing their beloved dogs are in safe and loving hands.

Hello! My name is Camila, I’m originally from Chile and currently living in Ireland. I am a caring, responsible, and passionate animal lover.
I have experience walking and taking care of both small and large dogs, and I truly enjoy spending time with them, making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. Back home, I had to leave my dog Abby in the care of my mom, and I miss her very much. That’s one of the main reasons I want to be a pet sitter — to share that same love, attention, and care with other pets who need it.
I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so I always follow instructions carefully and treat every animal as if they were my own. I am happy to care for vaccinated pets and provide a calm and safe environment.
I would love to meet your pet and take care of them with all my heart!

My name is Lucas, I'm Brazilian, I've lived in Ireland for 8 months. I really like dogs and I really miss my dog who lives in Brazil.
I signed up here because I need an extra income (I work as a chef de partie at 101).
As this is a job that I can organize the schedule, as it fits my routine and the dogs', I thought I should try.
In Brazil I, sporadically, walked the dogs of relatives and neighbors, without payment, just because I liked walking them. I've never had problems with anyone, neither with those who were walking or with those who were on the loose (in Brazil there are a lot of stray wandering the streets)
I am very organized and I have an incredible love for dogs, I would take better care of my own life so that they are safe and take a good walk.
