Hi, my name is Juan. I’m originally from Chile and I have been living in Ireland for about 10 months. I grew up in the countryside in Chile surrounded by animals, which helped me develop a very natural connection with them from a young age.

In my home in Chile we have several animals. Inside the house we have two French Bulldogs that require more delicate care and attention. We also have two large dogs, a Labrador and a Newfoundland. Because of this, I am very comfortable caring for both small dogs and large breeds. We also have cats and rabbits, so I am used to understanding the different personalities and needs of many types of pets.

Before moving to Limerick, I spent more than a month traveling around Europe while caring for pets in different homes. During that time I looked after dogs and cats with different needs, including cats with cardiovascular conditions that required extra care and calm environments. I also cared for a pair of older dogs whose activity and diet had to be carefully managed, as well as a French Bulldog and a Yorkie through a house-sitting platform.

I currently live in Limerick and work in a hotel that has a farm, where I am responsible for taking care of the animals. This allows me to work with animals every day and gives me even more practical experience.

When caring for dogs in Limerick, I always adapt the walks and activities to each dog’s age, energy level, and routine. Walks usually last between 30 and 60 minutes depending on the dog’s needs. My priority is always that the pet feels safe, calm, and well cared for.

In Brazil I, sporadically, walked the dogs of relatives and neighbors, without payment, just because I liked walking them. I've never had problems with anyone, neither with those who were walking or with those who were on the loose (in Brazil there are a lot of stray wandering the streets)
