Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Sallins home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Sallins.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Sallins home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hello! My name is Gabi, and I have been passionate about animals since I was young. I have always been surrounded by dogs and cats, and my own dog, Pandora, has taught me even more about patience, care and routine.

In my daily life, I keep a well-organised routine to ensure each pet receives individual attention, safety and plenty of affection. I have experience with a wide range of personalities — shy or nervous pets, sociable ones, seniors and those full of energy. I adapt my approach based on each pet’s behaviour and needs.

I offer calm and safe walks, always respecting the pet’s pace and following the owner’s instructions. I can also help with feeding, diet reinforcement, keeping fresh water available, and administering oral medication if needed.

My goal is to make your pet feel comfortable, loved and well cared for, just as if they were with a trusted member of the family.

About MeI am a calm and caring person who truly enjoys being around animals. I have patience, attention, and I always respect the rules and care instructions given by pet owners because I understand how important their pets are to them.I rescued a street cat and named him Bart. He lived with me for 8 years before moving to Germany with my sister. As I recently moved here with my wife into a shared house, I haven’t been able to bring him with me yet. This journey with Bart taught me how to create a safe and welcoming environment so that animals feel happy, protected, and well-adjusted. Also, I have cared for pets for friends and family for many years, gaining plenty of practical day-to-day experience. How I WorkMy focus is on building a bond of trust and ensuring your pet's well-being:Updates: I send photos and messages whenever necessary so you can follow along and have total peace of mind.Fun and Exercise: I make sure your pet burns energy in a healthy way, with games and activities that stimulate both body and mind.Routine and Safety: I strictly follow your pet's usual routine and instructions, providing full supervision and extra care at all times. What I OfferDog Walking: Fun 30-minute walks focused on exercise and exploration, adapted to your dog's specific pace and energy.Overnight Home Stays: I provide care and companionship at the owner's home, keeping the pet in the environment they already know.Complete Care: Feeding, fresh water, cleaning, playtime, and dedicated attention.Working HoursMonday to sunday: Full availability from 08:00 AM to 08:00 PM.

Hi! My name is Nayane. I’m a caring and responsible dog walker and pet visitor. I grew up surrounded by animals and I’m completely in love with dogs — I even have a 5-year-old English Bulldog back in Brazil, who taught me so much about patience, care, and understanding different personalities.

I offer dog walking and home visits only (no pets in my home), and I always focus on safety, comfort, and respect for each pet’s routine.

I have experience with different breeds, sizes, and temperaments, including strong, energetic, or shy dogs. I’m confident with feeding, basic medication (pills/liquids when needed), and understanding simple behavioral signals like stress, excitement, or fear.

During walks or visits, I always:
• Follow the dog’s pace and routine
• Keep constant attention to surroundings for safety
• Give updates, photos, and messages so the owner feels secure
• Respect any special instructions or preferences
• Make sure the pet feels loved, calm, and comfortable

My goal is to make each pet feel safe and happy while giving owners complete peace of mind.
I would love to support you and your pet with reliable, gentle, and dedicated care.

Hello! I am a Brazilian guy living in Ireland for almost 6 years. I started pet sitting 5 years ago and live in a comfortable home where pets are safe and welcome. I have always loved animals. My Grandfather was very influential in teaching me to love and care for them, how to communicate and read their body language. I have had many beloved pets growing up like dogs, cats and horses. When I get old I intend to live on the farm surrounded by plants and animals. I'm also a musician and I really enjoy working on art in my free time! My hobbies are: guitar, bass, percussion, and drums, traveling, hiking, yoga, meditation, gym, and enjoying nature.

What services do I offer? Full service pet sitting for cats and dogs, including companionship, exercise, meals, providing fresh and clean water, administering medication, play time/enrichment, and teaching or practicing basic training commands like sit, stay, paw, etc. For dogs, I provide two or three walks a day, sometimes more for large active dogs or if the owner requests more exercise. I usually spend seven hours a day with the pets in my care, sometimes as much as eight or ten hours, because they require my undivided attention. In that case, I also charge more. I work as I freelancer, but I do it from home so you can be assured of constant vigilance.

I would love to take care of your pet as if it were a member of my family. Send me a message so we can get to know each other better and arrange all the details. ‍‍

Hello all :)

My name is Oksana, and I’ve been caring for and loving cats almost as long as I’ve been alive. I am currently a postgraduate student at UCC, but looking forward to making Ireland my new home.
A little about my experience with cat care. I helped raise my childhood cat from a few weeks until he was 21 years old. Following this, I successfully introduced a bonded pair of kittens to an adult female Tortie(tortitude anyone ?), and now they coexist peacefully. Before coming to Ireland, I was the go to cat sitter in my friend group of cat parents. I have experience with young cats, indoor cats, outdoor cats, old cats, sick cats, skittish cats, temperamental cats, and more.
All of my cat sitting experience has occurred in the U.S. As I am new to this app and don't have reviews yet, I am willing to give references from people I have cat sat for back home by request.
Services: home visits, overnight stays, administering meds, leashed walks, feeding, brushing, cleaning litter, playing

Hi! My name is Julia and I’m a caring, responsible and reliable pet sitter based in Dublin. I truly love animals and enjoy making pets feel safe, comfortable and happy while their owners are away.

I have experience caring for both dogs and cats with different personalities and energy levels. I can help with feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, cleaning, companionship and maintaining your pet’s normal routine to reduce stress and anxiety.

My dog walks are usually between 30 minutes and 1 hour depending on the pet’s needs and energy level. I always pay attention to each animal’s behaviour and comfort, especially with shy, nervous or high-energy pets. I can comfortably handle up to 2 dogs at a time for walks if they are well behaved.

I’m also comfortable giving basic medication if needed and I always stay calm in unexpected situations. In case of emergencies, I contact the owner immediately and seek veterinary assistance if necessary.

I understand how important trust is when leaving your pet with someone, so I always provide updates and photos to help owners feel relaxed and reassured.

I’m flexible with evenings and weekends and I would love to care for your pet as if they were my own

Hi I'm Sydney, dog mom to my amazing Bernese x Heeler mix, Rufus. I have been an animal lover my whole life and recently moved back to Ireland after 7 years in Canada. I now have my own dog walking business and am so fortunate to have my full time job being surrounded by the most amazing dogs! My life is very dog friendly, however my housing situation right now will not allow for doggie day care. Instead I offer walks and house sitting, depending on availability. Walks offered range from solo walks for odler/reactive dogs, group adventure walks along with smaller group social walks.
Having lots of experience with larger breeds and strong dogs sets me apart from other sitters. I currently have quite a list of different breeds I walk weekly. These include; German & Belgian Shepherds, Rottweiler cross, Bernese cross, Labradors, Golden Retrievers, American Akita, Collie, Miniature Dachshund, Jack Russell cross, King Charles. Lots of high energy dogs so I guess you could say there's not much I can't handle !
You can be sure your dogs are in great hands when they're with me. We'll have a woofin good time and they will return home ready for a nap! My energetic personality is a great match for the dogs. Walks often include my own dog to tire your pup out with lots of play during our adventure! I'd love to offer my services when your schedule gets crazy. I have lots of patience and love to give to your pup while we're out!
I trained my dog Rufus myself and he has a great temperament. He loves everyone, other dogs and children. As far as experience goes, I have been dog walking for 3 years which has been great and extremely rewarding. I also volunteer at the local animal shelter. I was heavily involved in both family dogs growing up too. Our family dog now is 6 and I helped train her , along with getting her over her fear of water. We walk and adventure together regularly. Our childhood dog was also a best friend of mine. I have cared for friends dogs in my own home while living away, along with walking friends or neighbour's dogs while they were away, working or injured.
If your dog has any special dietary restrictions (treats/food given on walks), behavioral issues or problems with interacting with other dogs, reactivity, etc, just let me know and I'll be sure we are all safe and comfortable. I will always propose a meet and greet before the first walk with your pet. This ensures the dog can get familiar with me, get a feel for me and me for them, and gives us a chance to touch base and finalize expectations etc.
