Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Rathgar home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Rathgar.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Rathgar home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hello, welcome to my Pet Sitter profile! ‍
I worked as a veterinarian in Brazil, since 2018. I also have previous experience as a pet sitter.
I have always been passionate about animals and in contact with them. I believe they can teach us many wonderful things and we are very lucky to have them in our lives! I would be extremely happy to work with animals again!
My tasks as a pet sitter can be during the afternoons and early nights in D6, D6W, and D4 - Other locations can be discussed - and Include:
• Dog Walking,
• Cat/Dog sitter at your house.
- washing and filling the bowls with food and water;
- Providing positive playing time;
- Clean and fill the litter boxes;
- Much love, respect, and fun!
- Watering your plants when required. However, I don’t have green toes.
Ps: This is a gesture of kindness, unfortunately, I cannot be responsible for the health of your plant. but I promise to offer my best to her too!

Hello, my name is Mariana and I am definitely a pet lover.
I've always had animals at my house since I was a child, nowadays I have two cats in Brazil that I rescued booth from the street and I already had other rescued cats. I always provided what my pets needed: going to vet, bathing them, helping with the application of medicines and the necessary care for the well-being of our puppies.
My biggest motivation is the love for animals and being able to spend time with them. I'm on the app to take care of your pet and give him affection as if he were mine, with companionship, interaction, fun and care.
🦮Dog walking: around 45 - 60 min. You can show me the route you normally do with him/her.
Home visit: around 45 - 60 min. Includes feeding and changing water, cuddles, brush and games.
Unfortunately I can't host pets at my house, but I'll be glad to pick up and drop off your dogs for daily walks or take care of them at your home.
And you do not need to worry, I will be happy to send photos and a report during the service.
If you have any questions, please contact me. I would love to meet you and learn more about your pet.

I’m a dog owner who regularly looks after two family hounds, one Kerry Blue and one Cocker Spaniel. However, given that I am away from the family home for the next two months, I have plenty of free time, so would love to help out to help finance my next year in college and some travel plans, all while expanding my network of canine chums. I have loved dogs for as long as I can remember, and I just love spending time with them, as often they are better company than any people could be! If I could add your dog to my summer routine, I would be thrilled and I promise to care for them as if they were my own!
I will be based in the Terenure area for the next couple of months, so I am very happy to go anywhere in the area (even if not completely adjacent) to help! My main service would be dog walking, and I should be available from morning until evening, whenever you are in need of my service. I am an experienced dog walker and love heading to parks to wander around, so it would be great to have a dog with me for company! Whether your dog needs a short stroll or a longer walk, I am happy to cater for whatever his/her exercise needs are, no problem at all.
I would also be very happy to provide home visits/house sitting services, always being respectful of your property and leaving no trace behind me. Whether you would like me to drop in for a couple of hours, or spend the whole working day with your pet, I would be very happy to do either or anything in between, and of course if plants or post needs taking care of I can do that as well.
Overall, if you choose me to look after your beloved pet, whether to go on a walk or keep company during the day, I would be more than happy to assist, and will do everything I can to keep your dog happy! As I say, I have lots of free time coming up, so whenever I can be of use, I would be delighted to help, and I look forward to hearing from you. Please do not hesistate to contact me if you have any more questions or require any more information! Have a wonderful day!

Hi,
My name is Zana, I love animals and always had them growing up. I grew up with an Irish Setter, 4 cats, a rabbit and a Mongolian desert mouse. I often look after neighbours, friends and family's pets. I have also completed a pet first aid course.

I'm great with providing companionship, care and walks to dogs and cats of all ages and sizes. I'm always happy to snuggle and play with them, and I'm very respectful of their personal boundaries.I'm great with providing companionship, care and walks to dogs and cats of all ages and sizes. I have always loved dogs and feel a deep connection with them. Caring for dogs brings me genuine joy and fulfillment, which is why I am passionate about being a dog sitter. I understand that every dog has its own unique personality, routine, and needs, and I strive to provide attentive, patient, and loving care tailored to each individual pup.

Whether it’s going for walks, playtime, feeding, administering basic care, or simply providing companionship, I treat every dog as if they were my own. I am comfortable caring for dogs of different sizes, ages, and temperaments, and I take the time to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while in my care. During walks and visits, I focus on providing both physical exercise and positive interaction, adapting activities to suit each dog’s energy level and preferences.

I know how important it is for pet owners to feel confident that their beloved companions are being well cared for. That’s why I am committed to being reliable, responsible, and communicative. I provide regular updates, photos, and messages so owners can enjoy peace of mind while they are away. I am also prepared to follow specific care instructions and respond calmly and responsibly should any unexpected situations arise.

Being a dog sitter allows me to combine my love for animals with the opportunity to make a positive difference in their lives. My goal is to create a loving, comfortable, and stress-free environment where every dog feels cared for, secure, and valued. Dogs inspire me every day, and I look forward to meeting new furry friends and seeing plenty of happy tails wagging soon.

Hi there! We are Alan and Ying. We’re two young professionals and animal lovers who live in Rathmines.
We've always had animals in our homes growing up. Now that we’ve moved out, we really miss having our pets with us all the time!
We have had experience looking after our family, friends and neighbours dogs while they're away on holidays. We've minded a mix of small to medium sized dogs.
We usually go for multiple walks a day so your pet will definitely get all the exercise he/she needs.
We also both work from home, which will allow us to give your pet a lot of cuddles and attention! We will always look after your pets needs first.
Our home has a decent sized garden and is fenced off so it is safe.
There are also multiple dog parks near us just a few minutes walk away.

Growing up on a small farm in Cork, I am no stranger when it comes to looking after animals. My upbringing inspired me to pursue a degree in Veterinary Medicine in UCD, where I am currently a fourth year student. I have a plethora of experience in small animal clinics, handling and caring for a variety of breeds and personalities. Beyond my veterinary training, I have also worked in a luxury dog boarding establishment.
I am happy to walk your dog(s) for upwards of 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on your preference. If needed, I am capable of administering your pets at-home medications, as well as catering for their unique care requirements. Giving your pets a fun and playful experience with a walk (or even a run!) around their favourite spots is a big priority of mine. I am an energetic, reliable and resourceful individual, and will of course always endeavour to put your pets wellbeing at the forefront of my service.
When I'm not surrounded by animals, I love being outdoors: hillwalking, climbing, kayaking, etc.

Hi, I’m a 24-year-old living in Donnybrook. I work in a hospital, so I’m used to being responsible, organised, and dependable—qualities I bring to looking after dogs as well.

I have two dogs of my own, so I’m very comfortable around dogs and familiar with their routines, behaviour, and different personalities. I’ve also spent time walking and minding other dogs, so I understand that each one has their own needs, whether that’s a calm walk, a bit of playtime, or just some company during the day.

I work Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, so I’m generally available on Tuesdays, Fridays and weekends and I can sometimes be flexible outside of that. I’m happy to help with walks, sitting, or keeping your dog company while you’re away.

I know how important it is to leave your dog with someone you trust, and I’ll make sure they’re well looked after and comfortable while in my care.
