Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Kilpedder home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Kilpedder.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Kilpedder home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

I absolutely love dogs and have built a wonderful routine centred around keeping them happy, active, and thoroughly exercised. My specialty is taking pups on exciting outdoor adventures, whether it's hiking through scenic nature trails, exploring wide-open local parks, or enjoying an energetic run along the beach. I make sure every outing is filled with fun, safety, and plenty of mental and physical stimulation tailored to each dog's needs.
To ensure absolute control and maximum attention for every dog, I never walk more than 3 dogs at a time. I constantly monitor the pack dynamics to ensure everyone is having a positive experience. I make sure to plan our routes carefully, choosing trails that match the energy and fitness level of each dog in the group.
I am highly patient and experienced with various dog behaviors—whether a pup is high-energy, a bit anxious, or prone to pulling. If we encounter unfamiliar dogs or stressful situations on the trail, I calmly redirect their attention and create a safe distance. I always keep you updated with quick messages and photos during our outings. Your dog's safety and your peace of mind are my top priorities!

Hi all! I'm Martin from Chile. I've been in Ireland since March 2024 and has been a great experience. I love animals and for me being in this app would help me to transmit and feel the genuine love of a pet being so far away from home.
What is your motivation to be a pet sitter?
I’ve always had a deep love and connection with animals, having grown up with a variety of pets, including cats, dogs, turtles, and hamsters. As a firefighter, I’ve participated in numerous animal rescues, which strengthened my compassion for animals and my ability to care for them in different situations. Pet sitting allows me to combine my love for animals with providing peace of mind to pet owners, ensuring their pets are safe, loved, and well-cared for while they’re away.

Do you have previous experience?
Yes, I have extensive experience caring for my own pets over the years and working with animals in rescue scenarios as part of my role as a firefighter. I understand how to meet the needs of different animals, whether they require exercise, medication, or just companionship.

Do you only take vaccinated pets into your home?
I don’t take pets into my home because I live in a shared house. Instead, I offer care in your home, ensuring your pets stay comfortable and secure in their familiar environment.

I'm 30 years old from Brazil with a deep passion for animals. I have had pets at home since I was a child and was able to take care of them until they leave us both dogs and cats have been part of my life. I'm comfortable with administering medication, feeding schedules, and managing daily routines. I'm available to take care of your pet in your home and to walk with them I also understand the responsibilities of keeping the home environment safe and clean during the duration of pet sitting. I have a very flexible schedule with all weekdays and weekends available.
At my parents' house in Brazil I have 2 cats and 1 dog. I have been in Dublin since November and being around the animals makes me feel at home and comfortable.
I hope I have the opportunity to meet your pet and I feel ready to take care of your little child with lots of love and responsibility.

Hi, I’m Caroline! I’m a responsible and caring animal lover with experience looking after dogs of different personalities and needs. I have a rescue golden retriever of my own, Riley, who has given me years of experience in providing patience, consistency and compassionate care.
I work as a carer so have plenty of experience in looking after people too, so I'm used to following strict routines (including meal times and medications). My job also means I am available each day of the week, every other week!
I understand how important it is to feel confident when leaving your pet in someone else’s care. I always aim to create a calm, safe and comfortable environment while following your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible. Whether your dog enjoys long or short walks, plenty of attention, or simply having someone around for company, I’m happy to adapt to their individual needs.
I’m reliable, attentive and take pride in providing high-quality care. I’d love the opportunity to meet your pet and ensure they receive the same level of care, respect and attention that I would expect for my own.

Hi, I’m a lifelong pet lover with experience caring for both cats and large dogs — from a Dogue de Bordeaux to a Cane Corso — as well as multiple breeds of cats. I understand that every pet has a unique personality, energy level, and routine, and I adapt my approach to meet their individual needs. My priority is to make pets feel safe, calm, and comfortable while you’re away.I’m a reliable and caring pet sitter who understands how important it is for pets to feel safe, calm, and comfortable while their owners are away. I provide attentive in-home care tailored to each pet’s individual needs, personality, and daily routine.
I provide in-home care, including feeding, fresh water, litter or waste cleaning, medication if needed, playtime, exercise, companionship, and gentle socialization. I follow your instructions carefully and maintain your pet’s routine to reduce stress. I also provide regular photo and text updates so you can enjoy peace of mind.
I’ve had cats and big dogs all my life, from a Dogue de Bordeaux to a Cane Corso, as well as multiple breeds of cats, so I understand the needs, personalities, and behaviors of a wide range of pets.
I treat every pet as part of my own family.

Hey Pet Owners, I'm Eithne, an all round animal lover who works in SVUH as an Gastroenterology Nurse.
I am based in Glenageary, Co.Dublin. I petsit in the owner/Pet's home, dog walk , or, I do pet visits 1-2 times daily locally. However, I have also gone to North Co Dublin, Wicklow, Kildare & North Wexford. So don't hesitate to ask me if I am free even if we are not close by.
I can administer oral medications and I am trained to give subcutaneous injections if your pet requires them.
I am also trained in Animal CPR.
Please let me know if they have any medical conditions and how to cater for them if needs be.
I adore cats, dogs, rabbits, buggies etc and can mind any animal you love if you need a petsitter, including reptiles , tripod dogs or any animals with specific needs.
I love being in the company of animals and they love mine. I always get to know them with their likes / dislikes. I will play , walk and relax with your pet if they need that and you can let me know.
Kindly highlight any specific pet requirements that your pet needs/loves ( such as favourite toys(comforters) / their favourite areas of house or garden/ the amount of walks per day(if dog) / food preferences / where they like to sleep etc/ any specific habits.

I am a Pet Owner myself. I have two beautiful ragdoll cats. Bella is 12 and Layla-Rose is 1 . Bella is terrified of dogs and makes strange with other animals . Hence why it is easier & safer for me to petsit in the Pets own home. Often they prefer to be in their own home. So I can pet - Board, or do 1-2 visits per day. We can figure this out together to suit individual needs. (See my rates & availability calendar on my profile).
Most people like a quick chat on phone, and then a simple meet & greet with their animal to meet them. If I come to your place, I will ask about your pets daily routine and what your pets needs are. We simply take it from there for your family pet while you are away, or, if you need dog walking or an animal with medical needs who needs a visit or mediation and company.
Look forward to hearing from you,
Eithne

Hi! I’m Rosie, and animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve been caring for dogs and cats for over 10 years, and I couldn’t imagine life without them! At home, I have two wonderful dogs, a Yorkie mix and a Pointador, who’ve taught me patience, love, and that every pet has their own special quirks.

When I look after your pets, I treat them like part of my own family. I know how hard it can be to leave them, so I make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away, with plenty of walks, playtime, and cuddles.

I also take great care of your home, collecting mail, watering plants, putting out bins on garbage day, and keeping everything clean and secure. After each stay, your home will be just as you left it, tidy, locked, and cared for.

I offer 30-minute walks, home visits, and house sitting.

I am 40 years old and I have been looking after cats (*and other animals) all my life. When I was a child my parents did not allow cats in the house- I used to smuggle them in. While other children were making tree houses; I was setting up “Cats’ hospital”.
I always wanted to work with children or animals.
Today I work with children across different sectors.

I also have 2 cats ‍myself ; one travelled acsros Eu with me when we moved to Irelan 8 years ago.
The younger one joined us during the pandemic making my life happier. They are like sun and a moon personality wise but I love them both to bits.
Cat sitting would be a nice addition to what I love doing.
Anyone who knows me can confirm my obsession with cats and cats really love me. I have a good undrstanding of cats behaviour and I can meet them where they are at as each cat is very different when it comes to their personality.
I offer: once or twice a day visits to your home; feeding, maintaining hygiene and playing with the cat(s). Occasionally sleepover (*depends on my personal arrangements at any given time). Area I am happy to cover: Newtownmountkennedy and anything within 5-10 min drive from it. Longer distances are also available on case to case basis however in this arrangement I will need to cover millage which is 50c per 1km for journeys above 15km (return).

Pet Sitter Motivation:
I have always had a deep love for dogs and genuinely enjoy caring for them. Spending time with pets brings me joy, and I take pride in ensuring their happiness and well-being. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free environment where dogs feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away.

Previous Experience:
I have experience taking care of dogs of various breeds and sizes. I have looked after pets for friends and family, making sure they are well-fed, exercised, and given plenty of attention. I understand the importance of meeting each dog’s unique needs and always prioritize their safety and comfort.

Do I Take Only Vaccinated Pets at My Home?
Yes, for the safety of all pets and to maintain a healthy environment, I only accept vaccinated dogs. This ensures that every pet staying with me is protected and can enjoy their time safely.

I adore all earthly creatures, but I especially worship cats and dogs. And as a freelance creative who works remotely, I am always thrilled to have the opportunity to care full-time for animals - and in the meantime, getting to know a new area, and tending to the requirments of another home. I'm an ideal sitter for those on holidays and trips, short- or long-term. Anywhere from a night to 4 months. I offer full-time, residential care for cats, dogs and any other non-human animals in your family. I hope you consider me as a temporary carer for your beloved pets, whatever age or shape they're in; I have experience administering various kinds of medication, seeking emergency care, grooming animals of all hair-types, going for 30 to 60 minute walks with lots of play and exercise as well as sourcing all foods, treats, toys and other accessories needed to provide fully comprehensive and compassionate care. I am also reliable at watering any plants, tending to gardens and maintaining a perfectly clean and tidy house. Needless to say, I will also ensure security is a priority at all times for your home. I grew up in Dublin and spent time in the U.S. and Europe, but now call Ireland my home. Perhaps you'd like me as a carer for your pets on a regular, occasional or yearly basis in the future. I'd welcome this enthusiastically - in my experience it's a comfort to animals and humans alike! Many thanks for your consideration. - Pete.
