Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your County Kildare home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like County Kildare.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your County Kildare home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Previous owner of a pet sitting company with 5years experience with all sorts of animals. I am familiar with animals that have challenging behaviour and am willing to look after them! I spend my free time hiking with my own dog and taking my best pal on adventures outside of the house, which I would be happy to do with yours!
I am familiar with administering medication if necessary, facilitating vet appointments. I am comfortable with all breeds and will maintain structure by following the routine you have set up with them! My own dog is a one year old poodle cross border collie, meaning i understand the importance of movement and stimulating games/ interactions while in the house and on walks. I am a certified dog walker and foundational dog trainer, emphasis on positive rewards and lots of treats!

I aim to take as good care of your furbabies as I do with mine, as a dog mom I understand the anxiety of leaving your furbabies and will do my best to ensure they're comfortable until you come home! I offer dog walks and pet sitting!

Hey I'm Anna, I'm a 22 year old with lots of free time atm that I want to spend with animals. I absolutely love animals but there's only so many I can have myself. I'd love this opportunity to hang out with some new pets and meet some lovely people.
I grew up, live and work on a farm so I'm very comfortable with animals of all kinds. We've always had lots of dogs and cats around and I even have 3 pet sheep. I am used to caring for animals with different personalities, routines and needs. I have been house and pet sitting for neighbours and friends for awhile now, with lots of good feedback.
I am responsible, reliable and enthusiastic. I also hope to work with animals professionally in the future so pet sitting is something I genuinely enjoy and take seriously.
I'm based in the donadea area and I'm quite flexible with my availability. I work part time during the week and do a market on Saturdays, so I'm available for walks, visits and longer stays depending on what you need
Im comfortable looking after a variety of animals including elderly pets and animals that need extra patience or attention. I can follow feeding routine, medication instructions and any specific care requirements you leave me. I'm also comfortable with different behaviours and will take the time to understand what your pet needs rather than forcing them into situations they're uncomfortable with.
When house sitting or visiting, I'll make sure pets have food, water, excersise, company and anything else they normally need. I won't leave pets alone for longer than we've agreed, and I'll follow your instructions around doors, gardens, walks and other safety requirements.
I've cared for pets for friends and neighbours before and understand how important it is to leave your animals with someone you trust. I'll keep you updated while you're away with messaged and photos, and I'll let you know straight away if I notice anything unusual or have concerns.
I have my own car and, in an emergency, I'm able to transport your pet to the vet if necessary. I'm happy to discuss your pets routine, personality and requirements beforehand so you can feel completely comfortable leaving.

Hi! I'm Niamh, and I'm a big animal lover who has recently returned from Canada, where I was working as the manager of a busy doggy daycare. During my time there, I cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities and formed really close bonds with all of them.
I'm confident with all types of dogs and always aim to make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and happy when they're with me.
10 years ago, I adopted my dog, Betty, so I understand the additional needs a rescue dog may need. Betty has been through a lot in her life, from an accident that required her to learn how to walk again, to getting one of her eyes removed 6 years ago. Through these times, I helped Betty to get better through care and patience. She needs eye drops in her eye every night for the rest of her life, so I am used to administering these as well.
I also adopted a cat, Miss Maggie, in Canada, so I understand the care and attention cats need, and I'm very comfortable doing home visits to feed, check in, and spend time with them in the comfort of their own environment.
I always aim to make pets feel comfortable and relaxed while their pawrents are away, following their usual routine so that everything feels normal and stress-free for them. I also understand how important it is for their pawrents to feel reassured, so I will always send pics and updates so you can see how your pet is doing and feel connected while you're away.
As I've just returned to Ireland, I currently have full flexibility to fit around your schedule and needs.

Hi! I'm a dedicated pet sitter based in Kildare who genuinely loves animals and everything that comes with caring for them. I offer dog walking and home visit services, always with lots of patience, attention, and affection.
During walks, I adapt the pace, route, and duration to suit each dog's energy level and personality - making sure they have a fun and safe experience every time. For home visits, I maintain your pet's usual routine, including feeding, playtime, and companionship, so they feel comfortable and loved even when you're away.
I have solid hands-on experience with energetic, strong, and highly active dogs. I know how to handle intense behaviours calmly and positively, keeping both the pet and the environment safe. Your dog will always be in caring, trustworthy hands — because your pet’s happiness and safety are my top priority. I truly believe every dog deserves the best care and attention possible!

I am a 47-year-old professional working in finance, and alongside my career I have developed a deep appreciation and love for cats. As a current owner of a male British Longhair and a black domestic female, I have hands-on experience caring for cats with different personalities, grooming needs, and temperaments. I understand how important routine, patience, and a calm environment are for their wellbeing.

I am reliable, responsible, and detail-oriented, qualities that come naturally from my professional background and translate well into pet care. I take the time to understand each cat’s individual needs, whether that means playtime, quiet companionship, or attentive feeding and grooming. I genuinely enjoy spending time with cats and ensuring they feel safe, relaxed, and cared for while their owners are away.

Becoming a cat sitter allows me to combine my love for animals with my dependable nature, providing peace of mind to owners and comfort to their pets.
I keep pet owners up to date on how their cats are getting on and report any issues if they arise.
My availability is flexible outside my working hours, my working hours are 7 - 4

Hi I'm Sydney, dog mom to my amazing Bernese x Heeler mix, Rufus. I have been an animal lover my whole life and recently moved back to Ireland after 7 years in Canada. I now have my own dog walking business and am so fortunate to have my full time job being surrounded by the most amazing dogs! My life is very dog friendly, however my housing situation right now will not allow for doggie day care. Instead I offer walks and house sitting, depending on availability. Walks offered range from solo walks for odler/reactive dogs, group adventure walks along with smaller group social walks.
Having lots of experience with larger breeds and strong dogs sets me apart from other sitters. I currently have quite a list of different breeds I walk weekly. These include; German & Belgian Shepherds, Rottweiler cross, Bernese cross, Labradors, Golden Retrievers, American Akita, Collie, Miniature Dachshund, Jack Russell cross, King Charles. Lots of high energy dogs so I guess you could say there's not much I can't handle !
You can be sure your dogs are in great hands when they're with me. We'll have a woofin good time and they will return home ready for a nap! My energetic personality is a great match for the dogs. Walks often include my own dog to tire your pup out with lots of play during our adventure! I'd love to offer my services when your schedule gets crazy. I have lots of patience and love to give to your pup while we're out!
I trained my dog Rufus myself and he has a great temperament. He loves everyone, other dogs and children. As far as experience goes, I have been dog walking for 3 years which has been great and extremely rewarding. I also volunteer at the local animal shelter. I was heavily involved in both family dogs growing up too. Our family dog now is 6 and I helped train her , along with getting her over her fear of water. We walk and adventure together regularly. Our childhood dog was also a best friend of mine. I have cared for friends dogs in my own home while living away, along with walking friends or neighbour's dogs while they were away, working or injured.
If your dog has any special dietary restrictions (treats/food given on walks), behavioral issues or problems with interacting with other dogs, reactivity, etc, just let me know and I'll be sure we are all safe and comfortable. I will always propose a meet and greet before the first walk with your pet. This ensures the dog can get familiar with me, get a feel for me and me for them, and gives us a chance to touch base and finalize expectations etc.
