Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your County Cork home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

Hello!! I’m Izayany, a Brazilian living in Cork. As an animal lover, I’ve always had a soft spot for our furry friends.
Growing up on a farm, I've cherished close confections with animals since childhood. Currently, I’m the proud owner of one rescue dog, Adele 🩷 To me, a home isn’t complete without a pet – they bring joy, companionship, and endless tail-wagging moments!
Here’s what I can provide for your dog:
- Feeding: I'll provide balanced meals following feeding schedule.
- Water change: I'll make sure there is always fresh water.
- Dog walk: Exercise, exploration, fresh air, and adventures outdoor.
- Pet sitter: I am available to stay overnight minding your pet (at owner house).
- Health-related: I can administer oral medication, apply skin ointments, and eye/ear drops.
You’ll also receive updates from me with photos and videos. Feel free to contact me anytime!

Hi! My name is Letícia, and I’m a true animal lover. I have two dogs back in Brazil, and I miss them every day since moving to Cork, Ireland. Taking care of other people’s pets helps me feel a little closer to them, which is why I genuinely love doing this work. Caring for animals brings me happiness, and I treat every pet with the same love and attention I would give my own.
I’ve grown up surrounded by pets, so I understand that they are much more than animals—they’re family. I know how important it is to find someone trustworthy to care for them while you’re away, and my goal is to give you complete peace of mind knowing your pet is in safe and caring hands.
I provide pet care in your home, where your pet feels most comfortable and secure. I can feed them, refresh their water, play with them, keep them company, take them for walks, and follow any specific care instructions you provide, including administering basic medication if needed.
My walks usually last between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on your pet’s age, energy level, and routine. I always adapt my care to each pet’s personality, whether they’re playful, shy, energetic, senior, or a young puppy or kitten who needs extra patience and attention.
I care for dogs of all sizes, cats, and other small pets. If an emergency ever arises, I will contact you immediately, follow your instructions, and seek veterinary care if necessary to ensure your pet’s safety.
I’m responsible, organised, reliable, and punctual. I’m also happy to send regular photos and updates, so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well cared for while you’re away.
My priority is always your pet’s safety and wellbeing. I carefully follow your instructions and maintain your pet’s normal routine, including feeding times, walks, playtime, and any special care they may need. During my visits, I make sure doors, gates, and leads are secure and that your pet is always safe and comfortable in their home environment.
I understand that every pet is different. Some are playful and energetic, while others may be shy or nervous around new people. I’m patient and always take the time to earn their trust, allowing them to feel comfortable at their own pace. If I ever have any concerns or if an emergency arises, I will contact you immediately and seek veterinary assistance if necessary.
As I provide care in your home, your pet is never moved from their familiar environment, helping them feel relaxed and reducing stress while you’re away. I’m happy to send regular photos and updates so you always know how they’re doing.
I’m responsible, organised, reliable, and punctual, and I always do my best to provide loving, personalised care. I look forward to meeting you and caring for your beloved pet as if they were part of my own family.

I’m Mikaela, I’m 31 years old and have spent practically my entire life surrounded by dogs. Sadly, last year I said goodbye to my two elderly companions, who had been with me for many years. I’m Brazilian and recently moved to Ireland to study, and I deeply miss the joy of having pets around. I’m very affectionate, patient, and truly enjoy giving love, going for walks, and spending quality time with animals. In Brazil, I looked after pets for friends and clients through the DogHero platform, where I gained experience caring for dogs of different breeds, sizes, and personalities. I understand the importance of trust, safety, and affection when caring for someone’s beloved pet. My goal is to make sure they feel happy, comfortable, and well-loved while you’re away. It will be a pleasure to take care of your furry friend as if they were part of my own family.

I've been a pet sitter for everyone I know for as long as I can remember! I spent almost 6 years volunteering at one of the largest animal shelters in the Pacific Northwest of the United States before actually working there in the customer care department for 3 months this past summer. I have years of experience working with dogs and cats of all kinds of energy and training levels which has provided me with patience and strong animal handling skills. My volunteering also helped me be able to read animal body language quickly and easily which helps in stressful situations. I have also spent lots of time working with kittens and gained knowledge of many symptoms to look out for in many animal diseases. As well as that I have experience working with guinea pigs, rabbits, chinchillas, hamsters, and lizards. At home I am fortunate to have had a lot of pets. Currently my family has one dog, two cats, and two guinea pigs! I am also a current undergraduate student at the University College Cork studying a Bachelor of science in Biological, Environmental, and Geological Sciences.

Hi everyone! I'm Laura, an animal lover with a special place in my heart for dogs. I’ve always had a deep connection with animals, both big and small, but dogs have been my greatest love. I used to have two wonderful dogs, but sadly, my sweet old Lady passed away a year ago. Now, I have only my lovely Reina, a rescue dog from a shelter. She had a tough start as a puppy, but now she has found a loving home with me and my family. I'm currently a theatre student at UCC, which means I'm far away from my home and I cant see my furry friend. I love her so much! I'd like to extend that same care and affection to your dog. I'm a responsible and attentive person who will treat your furry family member with the same love and care as my own.
Dogs have always been a part of my family, and with my grandmother being a vet, I’ve learned a lot about handling them and taking care of their needs. Moreover, last summer I was volunteering in a dog's shelter in Greece, where I had to help to take care of 300 dogs! So I believe I can handle your friend too! I live close to Fitzgerald Park, so I can take your dog for fun strolls no matter the weather. And if it gets rainy or muddy, don’t worry—I'll always bring a towel to keep your dog clean and comfortable. What is more, I got my bike so I can visit you and your pet even if it is not in my neighbourhood.
Whenever I'm not studying, I'm available to take your dog for walks, and I'm sure we'll both have a great time! Rest assured, your dog will be in safe, caring hands with me.
